Hello,

It's not fun to use hundreds of keys to get Ilambris heavy / medium Divines trait and not to get it. In the past weeks I didn't even see any Ilambris heavy shoulders from the chest, to activate the Undaunted 8% bonus for my sorc.

"Maybe I'll get it tomorrow ..." This is making me hate your game right now. Last night I wiped 2 hours in vet Ruins of Mazzatun with an "expert" group just to get 2 keys instead of one ... No luck again. Not even the drop chance isn't equal between shoulders, since I'm getting even 2-3 times more often the other sets instead of Ilambris.

Other MMO's have token systems or better ways to get the gear you're working hard for, and also there isn't this "traits" system, where 90%+ are useless stats like prosperous on light armor, etc.

Do you even play your game ZOS devs ??? Maybe you should give it a try and see how frustrating it is.

Think about it. My subscription ends in October. Anyway, not sure I'll make 'till then.

    Tokens are something they've already said they're discussing (which doesn't mean we'll get it, but it's being talked about).

    They've also confirmed multiple times they know that RNG is a pain point in the game.

    I would love for a token system to be implemented, but i doubt it will ever happen.

    Token system is needed. RNG is just horrible.

    Also: Add the friggin' nTrials and nDSA to the dungeon finder, for god's sake.

    To play devils advocate though... they would have to implement a new tolken each time they came out with new dungeons. Or bind tolkens to each respective dungeon.. if they dont, u will have players farming tolkens and buying new bis gear the day it comes out, and thats not healthy for the game.

    Then people complain about grind, so Token system doesnt solve really anything. I say keep RNG but add another alternative way to obtain stuff too, yeah, you will grind, until you lose your mind then you can choose the alternative path. Alternative path is something costly, so player really needs to think if he wants to take that route.

    i dont really think it would be that much of a problem, since they aren't really setting the world on fire with dungeon/trial releases. once or twice a year a new token style or two comes out. Not really all that frightening.

    Also I don't want to see drops removed. The rng is crap leave the drops there, let people still have the chance to be lucky. Just add a token drop for those that aren't. So atleast you feel like you will certainly have it in a given amount of time, even if it never drops.

    I would love to see the token system implemented.

    It would be fine even to use the tokens to change the stats of an item after you got it, so you still need to farm the item.

    The worse part is actually the traits system. I would gladly use tokens to change the traits on items, given you have researched the trait and you already have the crafting profession & traits learned. There are games where you can actually choose the type of loot you can get (heavy, medium, light armor etc. HERE if you want to read more about this system in wow, and trust me, I know it well: it just works).

    I would actually also pay real money to buy such crown mimic tokens to change traits, like I can buy now the mimic stones.

    Having a token based system won't hurt the game if the token are spread out for all the dungeons/trials/maelstrom. The only people that are against it are the ones who got lucky within 10 runs or have extremely lucky RNG or account share for vMA weapons. Other than that, having a token system would actually benefit the game. You wouldn't have high end raid builds saying [ i can't take you cuz you don't have BiS gear ] so this system would give the players a chance to not only compete with other players but also not be frustrated and quit ESO. The RNG in this game is complete garbage.


    So either a token based system or an RNG garbage system that gives you training/prosperous for 85% of the gear.

    Common sense.

    so i farmed spriggans so i could go sprggans into trials to farm vo- so that i could then use vo to go farm maelstrom weapons which i then use in pvp to farm AP which i used to buy gold viper rings - which i il now wear in BG to farm up Bg sets which i ll use to farm master architect in HOF then i ll use that set to farm undaunted to get the monster helm to use to farm......


    ..........wait ........

    @ZOS_MattFiror mentioned in the past few months during an interview that they were looking into certain drops. He used the undaunted chests we get shoulders from as an example.

    One idea he said they were looking at is tokens but I also got the impression it would not be intended for everything in the game.

    Regardless, sinde any change to drops like undaunted chests and vMA weapons would not be challenging, either tokens for select items or reducing the number of trash traits, I expected it with U14 but of course it didn't happen.

    My guess is that the idea is probably lumped in with spell crafting and jewelry crafting. Zos has a bad habit of saying stuff to pique our interest well before the even give the idea serious design consideration.

    ​​​3 years into ESO and thousands (!!??) of related po​​sts on alleviating the RNG madness & still we have only band-aid fixes to the loot system. ​What I don't understand is why ZOS doesn't use their big patches to focus on key player concerns. For example, I'm thinking ZOS approached the Morrowind update with a plan similar to the following (not listed in order of importance).
    1) New PvE content
    2) Battlegrounds
    3) Warden
    ​4) QoL changes (UI updates like the buff tracker, bug fixes, etc.)
    5) Key player concerns (!!!)​

    ​Now let's focus on #5 for a minute. ​What I don't understand is how ZOS looked at #5 and thought that meant we wanted massive sustain changes, widespread class changes, etc...because it seems those precious resources used to implement those changes could've been put to better use creating a more stable Battlegrounds, addressing RNG concerns, etc.

    Overall, I just wish that for every major patch ZOS would make #5 more of an effort to engage ALL of the player base (not just streamers or us forum warriors), identify their key concerns, and then set a transparen​​t plan in motion to address those concerns.

    Nobody (except may you) wants to run a dungeon 30-150 more times to get enough tokens for only one piece of gear. Hell, current RNG is better than that.

    In a way we have this with The Golden vendor except some pieces never get to her.

    But no one wants to spend 100k on an infused shoulder.

    I would like a token system for the RNG that comes with using group finder and battlegrounds. I mean some of these players are just as crap as training traits.
