If the inventory of a high level character is a problem maybe that can be temporarily removed and returned with the chest of belongings awarded Seyda Neen. Or it could be stashed with the slavers. Or the first questgiver can just say that she found your stuff and you just have it.
I really don't see why we don't have the ship wreck and slavers when traveling to Morrowind either. Its the best introduction, I think. You're sent to Morrowind from the letter, become a prisoner, and go through just like a new player. I don't even see why it wouldn't occur to them to do it this way. Its not even new tech. I really liked how we got to the Wailing Prison as a new character but old ones just hop over in a boat and that's sort of it?
Btw, the The Missing Prophecy give a point? Maybe that's where it is since new character's shouldn't be able to have that quest. And if they don't then it should to even both.
Sure its a boring bug/miss but is it just 1 skillpoint we are talking about?
Isnt there enough skillpoints out there for any build anyway?
Meh.... I had enough skillpoints to max all passives, my armour - all 6 craftng, Soul Magic, Faction SKills, Weapon skills.
Basically everything you need/would be able to use - and I still have 6+ skillpoints. Is the loss of 1 free easy 1 a bummer? Sure. But I'm just letting you know, you can max everything you'd need without it

But it's impossible to those who had the goal of getting every skill point in the game
They said on ESO Live that you wouldn't get a skill point from the Wailing Prison if you did the Morrowind tutorial. So they knew they needed to do something about it. Yet it hasn't actually been fixed, and you still get a skill point from both the Morrowind tutorial and The Wailing Prison.Mentioned in the PTS and not fixed? Then some people dare to say ZOS cares and hears our feedback. Yeah, sure...
That's what they said, but skill points are still actually coming from both. They don't. The statement in an ESO live was that you gain the skillpoint from either one or the other begining.

Whether it's "just one" skill point or not is irrelevant. Whether it's actually needed or not is irrelevant. The fact that new characters get one more skill point than existing characters is a technical gameplay consistency issue, and needs to be addressed.Meh.... Okay yes - well I'll give you that I guess.... Just my opinion though - that's a real dumb goal and serves no real purpose.

The entire game is numbers and pictures on a screen. Anything you want to do in this game is 'a real dumb goal and serves no real purpose'.
This is objectively a problem. I'm not sure where all you people who just say 'it's not a big deal' are coming from - how would you feel if the next time they did something like this, the last 10 champion points in each tree were only available to characters created after May 22? Or even the last 1 champion point?
How are existing characters missing a skill point?
This is what I experienced on PTS (and I assume what @Zilophos experienced on Live):Blackshark wrote: »On the new character, I got 3 skill points at the end of the Morrowind tutorial. I want to say all three came from leveling 1 -> 3 and the new Morrowind tutorial did not award a skill point like Wailing prison.Well they said on ESO Live that it wasn't even supposed to be happening, so I don't know what they're doing about it. Now that it has existed on Live though, it'll be harder to address, because there will be some characters who will already have been affected and given that extra skill point.Blackshark wrote: »Well. Crap. That is a big issue. Any word on if ZOS has identified a fix? @Enodoc@Blackshark But you also get another skill point when you complete the Wailing Prison. That means the original Wailing Prison gave 3 skill points, and the new Morrowind tutorial plus the Wailing Prison gives 4 skill points. That's one extra skill point for new characters.
Wailing Prison I am still receiving the 1 skill point as a quest reward.
If this is accurate then old characters are fine as those 3 skill points from the Morrowind tutorial all came from leveling and not quest rewards. Is this different than what you've experienced? I'm not currently at home to run through the Morrowind tutorial again. Would take 10min to quickly confirm all skill points come from leveling and not quest rewards in the new tutorial...
Character who plays the Morrowind Tutorial
1 Skill Point for Level 1 > 2.
1 Skill Point for Level 2 > 3.
1 Skill Point for Quest Completion "Broken Bonds".
1 Skill Point for Quest Completion "Soul Shriven in Coldharbour".
Total: 4
Character who skips the Morrowind Tutorial
2 Skill Points for immediate Level 3.
1 Skill Point for skipped tutorial.
1 Skill Point for Quest Completion "Soul Shriven in Coldharbour".
Total: 4
Existing, pre-Morrowind Character
1 Skill Point for Level 1 > 2.
1 Skill Point for Level 2 > 3.
1 Skill Point for Quest Completion "Soul Shriven in Coldharbour".
Total: 3
Existing, pre-Morrowind Character who skipped the tutorial
2 Skill Points for immediate Level 3.
1 Skill Point for skipped tutorial.

@lavosslayer @Cêltic421 In very simple terms, new characters get a Skill Point from both Broken Bonds and Soul Shriven in Coldharbour, while existing characters only get one from Soul Shriven in Coldharbour because they cannot complete Broken Bonds.lavosslayer wrote: »
