Should staves, bows, and 2H weapons count as 2 items for item sets?

    Yes
I'd love to see a buff for destro staffs, as they're quite underwhelming and underperforming as it is atm.

This would remove choices you have to make regarding weapon types and which set combos to use.

    Staves and Bows Yes....
    2H No.....
The main people who benefit from the DW and 1H+S are out and out squishy damage dealers on DW and the Tanks or Set Squeezers for 1H+S restricting the rest. I personally have never used a dual wield ability but levelled it up purely for the passive as a DPS Templar and to get the extra item. I run 1H+S on my Buff Bar in some scenarios just to get more item sets in too and the added mobility it gives a Templar but that's subjective. Making Staves and Bows 2 item would create a much more logical and practical playing field which is what it seems ZOS are focused on at the moment with the catch up system and ridding of veteran ranks imminent. Implementing this would mean I could permanently implement a Resto Staff and Destro Staff instead of carrying two swords that have seen less flesh than a vegan butcher and rid myself of a shield that makes me look like I have a personality complex.
Until then though its DW Destro and Veteran White Gold Runs for the Molag Kena Helm

No, as it would devalue maelstrom weapons (and master weapons).

No, as it would devalue maelstrom weapons (and master weapons).

Or it would provide an alternative choice from some of the many sets that can't normally be relied on.
This would remove choices you have to make regarding weapon types and which set combos to use.

The choice of weapon is already poor because if you don't plan on using weapon skills your almost shooting yourself in the foot not picking up dw. Choices now aren't good, this set bonus slot isn't helping either. I would honestly like to see an off hand item that could or could not provide stat bonuses but could give item set slots, just to appease those who aren't agreeing with the idea because of the crafting cost exc.

If you really want 2 bonuses, use 2 weapons. That simple. The reasons why are pretty obvious as well...

    No, because basic math.

What it should be is each unique item counts 1x. Like, if you have a Ring of the X and a Band of the X, it's two items in a set, but if you have two Bands it's only one. Only the first Stygian dagger counts if you dual wield.

1H and Shield comes out a little bit ahead, but only factors into a few sets overall.

This doesn't really factor out for crafted sets where you can just alternate items to complete the set (One sword one set, the second sword another set). A more effective solution would be just not allowing the off-hand weapon to count towards the set, only the primary. This was something that never really set well with me to be honest. I would prefer to see only the main hand weapon count towards the set, as a fairer option.

I don't like it, but I think it would be even more confusing to new players if certain items counted as two in a set.

I'd rather see all the 2H weapons, not just 2H melee weapon damage, have benefits that outweigh the loss of a set bonus. Or add jewelry crafting, so at least the crafted sets can have 2 full 5 piece sets.

The downside with the added benefits is that it makes them have too much relative power early in the game when people aren't wearing set gear and don't have weapons from sets.

Will they also cost twice as much to craft, or have half the chance to drop?

Or cost twice as much to refine while requiring 2 enchantments.

If this happened what would happen to all the NB spinners. Would the army of NB spinners disappear? We cannot have that !

No. But they should do more damage (or at least staves and bows) to make it a choice between the two. The weapons shouldn't be homogenised, but there should be benefits to make up for giving up the set slot.

Either yes, or no but 2h weapons should have a different bonus instead.

I would like to try a ice staff tank warden but having 2nd handed staves count as only 1 item for item sets makes this not practical. I would like to see 2hd weapons count as two items for set count purposes.
