I honestly don't know why they couldn't include spears as a 1h and 2h version weapon, and I certainly wouldn't mind a dedicated 1 or 2 hand spear line with a charge, a throw, a sweep, maybe a 1.5 second impale-pick-up-and-throw-body type skill - stuff like that
point is...want spears. I'll take them as just another type of 1h/2h weapon OR with a dedicated skill line, just gimme some spears please...*sigh*"There is no correct resolution; It's a test of character."

Zardayne✭✭✭✭✭Spear/Pike with possible shield ( hoplites ftw )We need spears badly. Have them usable 2 handed or as a one hander so folks can play spear and shield. I've seen some NPCs using them and I've seen a few spears leaning against walls so the items are there.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Bound/summoned weaponThe only way I can see bound weapons to be implemented in a way that is balanced is to make them be acquired, enchanted and upgraded in the exact same way as any other weapon. They could be close-range magicka weapons.
And while all of that doesn't fit the established lore about bound weapons, this is a MMO and concessions need to be made in order to keep the gameplay aspects balanced.
I would also like to see simple spells that can be equipped instead of weapons, also following the "rules" the rest of the weapons are bound to in this game. Again, for balance.Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.0 -

Dreyloch✭✭✭✭✭1 Hand and magic in other handGame needs wands for magicka, or a spellbook, or a rune. ANYthing that will work for completing 5th trait sets that isnt a sword or mace or dagger etc.
Crossbows while more powerful, probably wouldn't have nearly the same range as current bows in game. The hopelight idea is nice, but now your talking many different new animations that ZoS would never do. Another one I'd like to see is a Martial staff, or Bo-staff. But this would have to accompany a monk type class and all new animations too.
