Does flurry proc Viper and Implosion passive ?

✭✭✭✭Implosion procs from physical dmg. Flurry is physical and DoT but not melee. Should not proc viper, ravager etc. but should proc implosion. Maybe I test this later on but results should be like what I said1 -

I tested it now. It procs Implosion and Viper.

Got in a long drawn out argument about this. Essentially in previous games I've played, channels were distinct from DoTs, because the damage is only being done provided you continue to channel. In essence you were not applying damage over time, you were channeling damage for as long as you continued to channel. Thus being a unique mid point between DoT's and Direct Damage.
It is damage over time per cast, but it isn't a ground or target (application and forget) damage over time. Ultimately I think its an argument over semantics related to the nature of the development of the gaming term "DOT". ✭✭✭✭ZOS is rather inconsistent in this one. It's physical and a DoT. But it doesn't always count as melee. For whatever reason that is.
It procs Viper and Ravager but not Twin Blade and Blunt.

✭Flurry is a;
Physical Damage, Damage over Time (DoT), Channel.
It should not be a Melee. But apparently they might have changed something, or it is bugged. 7 meter range skills are not normally considered melee.
In this game, DoT is not in any way related to Channel. Channel is describing Cast type; Instant, Casttime and Channel. DoT is only opposite to Direct Damage.Edited by raasdal on June 9, 2017 8:37PMPC - EU

✭As far as I am aware all ticks of flurry are considered to be DoT except the last one.
This means that flurry can procc ravager (which doesnt procc on DoTs) like most other melee spammables, but not with any greater chance per cast ( since the first few DoT hits cant procc it).Edited by Ahzek on June 10, 2017 12:54PMJo'Khaljor0 -
