Interesting you should post this. I was just creeping around trying to pick pocket some folks, and paused to let a guard go by, yet this ~5 foot tail (at least it seems that long) was sticking out of my hiding spot, and I thought not 10 minutes ago that I would have loved a bobtail option in creation.

Honestly, i just don't like the look of it.
It clips through everything, swaggers awkwardly as you move around, also have most body sliders to lowest so its rather disproportionately thick, lastely the animations for it aren't anywhere as smooth as khajiit's tail.
Guess ill just try and be happy with a polymorph.. :'(0 -

Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.

That's different and can't be compared, it would change functionality of other aspects of the game. Like combat and, well, living. I wouldn't object to missing some fingers or ears, though. Or having a peg leg.
If you don't want your character to have that kind of thing, nobody is forcing you.
