Morrowind Realization Sadness And Questions

So apparently I misread an email and thought the Wardan came out for every one on June 6th, but those who pre-ordered would be able to play it early. Only when I deleted a character and tried to create a Warden, did I realize the truth. I was excited to come back and try the new class, but now I know I have to pay $40 to do so D:

Is there no way to give a discount to players who have been playing for a while? The $60 game now comes with morrowind included for new players, but for players who bought the original game for $60, this will now become a $100 game ($120+ if they bought imperial edition or higher). Veteren players are having to pay more overall to recieve the same experiences that newer players are getting.

Will the Warden class ever be available for purchase seperately? Because I would like to play it, but It's the only thing I'm really interested of the update atm. And I'm not in a position right now to justify spending $40 just so I can play a Warden :/

Just wait for it to go on sale if you don't want to spend $40 for the upgrade.

I've been subbed since PC launch. Still had to shell out $40 (and see my existing toons all nerfed). Now I log-in and just think, why?

The information was clear: only those who purchase the DLC (call it chapter, does not matter) would have access to the Warden. I do not think the warden will be available any other way, at least for now.

$40 is the price of the dlc, there are no sales whatsoever. Just wait until it gets cheaper, if you are only interested into trying out the class $40 is too much money.

The way people on these forums bellyache about the warden being p2w because you have to get the Morrowind upgrade to get it is already insane. Making it available by itself for sale? This place would implode.

This isn't Skyrim where you pay once and play forever with no added cost to the developer. This is an MMO. It is expected that the expenses will pile up to keep the servers running.

And the argument that early adopters spent more is always a weak one. Of course they did. That is why, for most games, I wait a year for it to go on sale. I will get the same enjoyment playing Civ 6 2 years after release than I would have had playing at launch. The same goes for buying Mass Effect Andromeda when they release a version with all DLC (which Bioware finally did with DA:I, so I assume they will do the same with ME:A).

Oh it's not pay to win because the class is locked behind a paywall.

It's pay to win because other classes were intentionally nerfed, buffs intentionally removed so that Warden would be the only one that'd have them, and THEN it would be behind a payway.
