How do I summon the pet? I see no abilities except Ultimate, but I was under the impression the pet would follow like the Sorcery pets. Maybe I'm missing something. I have it unlocked under 'special' and checked off as my preorder bonus.

It comes after you unlock the skill under your class and it's an ultimate that has to be on both bars. But it's only for the Warden-PC (PTS)/Xbox One: NewBlacksmurf

Technically it CAN but often times doesn't on console as we don't have the additional options PC has/had for pets to control them.
I didn't check your platform but if on console...you're correct the bear once summoned kinda just does it's own thing unless it's one target.-PC (PTS)/Xbox One: NewBlacksmurf

✭As others said it does follow you, I believe it is one of the morphs which makes it stay up until it dies.1 -

It's ultimate based.....so basically it's another light attack heavy attack requirement. ANd has to be on both bars simultaneously.

As I said above, it follows you around for quite awhile. It was active when I logged off last night and this morning when I logged back on it was still activated. No reason to be disappointed, its pretty cool.XBoxOne NA

@heartburnkid It is a permanent pet, it's actually more permanent than sorc pets. It even follows you through loads, but you have to use both ult slots for it

It does follow you around and help.
It is a Ultimate and is quite different from any other ultimate in the game.
A few things you need to know about it:
1. Once you summon it it follows you around.
2. You can command it to attack.
3. Once summoned you can again use the Ultimate command to increase the damage the bear does for a short time.
4. Sometimes if you are close to a enemy, it will attack on its own.
5. Sometimes seems to wander and gets lost, but will return if you get in a fight.

Spec pets got this update too it's not any diff than wardens. It's in the patch notes.
Ugly slots and morph may be what's impacting the OP
