I know I'll probably get shouted down for being positive & accused of being a Zos lackey but.......

I love Morrowind. Love it. The graphics are gorgeous, especially in some of the massive delves. Like the Warden. Like the quests - and there are loads. Like the whole damn thing.

And this is not based on nostalgia as never played TES3. And after all the comments from those who had early access I feared the worst. But have just been consistently amazed the last couple of days.

So ta muchly.

(But this is not to deny any faults. Just not going to wibble on about them here)

I agree with positivity, I love morrowind!specificly vvardenfell as it has a special place on my childhood and the quests are well written and has nostalgic feels but I won't let nostalgia blind me and I won't admit it's a perfect chapter. Zos needs to add more content to do once your done with all 35 non daily quests and other things like delves etc. Also opening up all the locked ruins and city buildings will be a step in the right direction

Morrowind is a great new addition to this game. Further the base game balance and sustain changes that came with are not horrible as people like to make them out to be if they stop to think a little bit and actually play instead of make whine posts.

For all that this is admittedly a nostalgia trip for me (I discovered the TES series through Morrowind), I think my favorite part of the expansion is actually the writing. So many interesting characters and well-developed storylines! The writing team knocked it out of the park, imo.

Agreed, it's not perfect, but, for me, the positives far outweigh the negatives. :)
    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

(Signature idea shamelessly stolen from Abeille.)

Vvardenfell, while barren, was a good start to Morrowind, but I stand with @aliyavana that in saying that the questline is extremely short, Sheogorad is missing, and 90% of the structures that are locked off need to have interiors added.

The Warden I think is a solid class, however I haven't played it so I can't offer any in depth opinion.

As for Battlegrounds... I'd consider its current state to be Alpha at best.

mSorcs have move to the center of the pack and stam is ahead across the board with damage and are way more surviable. But sure, if it helps you sleep at night.

As for morrowind, its beautiful. As for the balance changes,I have run every trial since it came out and done VMA both on my sorc and Warden. My conclusion is they took the balance changes too far with the nerf to regen. I am capable of adapting, but I think this will hurt the bad players more than the good players in the long run, which is the opposite of their stated goal. If I were running things, I would pull them back a little bit.

Also this. Everyone has different standards and different aspects of the game they were excited for and because of that everyone's perspective on how enjoyable Morrowind is is different.

    Yeah, don't feel sorry, OP.

Some people are going to like Morrowind and the associated game changes.
    Other people will despise it.
Still others will be ambivalent to it all.

But just because I or some others may not like the DLC or changes, doesn't mean that everyone else has to like/dislike it as well. People are free to like or dislike as they please, even if other people don't agree.

There's nothing wrong with any of those.

I enjoy it too, just like I enjoyed all the other DLC. That doesn't mean that I think the bait and switch they did on ESO+ was cool or that I enjoy it more than Orsinium (though I do enjoy the story more so far). Then again, Orsinium cost me about $13 and I bought it in the first week with crowns from the sale that happened at that launch, and Morrowind cost me $31, quite a bit more. I enjoy having another class as well. The zone is not particularly nostalgic for me since I have never really made past about 2 hours into TES 3.

People can enjoy things while acknowledging that they overpaid for them.

With all the griping, I am happy to see some more praise for it!

I haven't picked it up yet but it was news about a Morrowind Chapter that brought me back as that was the first TES game that I got to play through and I'm a bit sentimental about it. I'm looking forward to getting the ESO Chapter at some point.

When it comes to balance changes and things other than the new area/class/bg, I'm new enough that I don't really see much of any difference. Bonus!

I, too, love Morrowind. I actually like the new zone so much that I get almost annoyed whenever I have to go somewhere else to craft something or try out a new character (Alik'r bug massacre). I even like the warden, even though I had lost all interest in it after they showcased the first skill tree. It feels kinda weak (even though it isn't) and the skill trees are meh but overall it's a lot of fun and that's what counts. Was Morrowind worth the 40 bucks? Probably not. It's way too short for that. I had to force myself to do only a couple of quests a day and was still done after two evenings. But in the end 40 bucks is not the end of the world, I'm not going to starve and I'm still having fun playing. So, no reason to complain.
