So no, there is no major benefit of using Gold jewelry. The stat difference is minimal.
However, they come with a free gold Magicka Regen enchant and some gold jewelry pieces are relatively easy to obtain.2 -

Personally I wouldn't pay 500k for a set of gold rings just to raise my stats by an insignificant amount.
Use google and you can see pics of gold versus purple jewelry. The stats are stupid small. The only instance where you want a gold replacement would be your weapon.4 -

✭There's a BIG difference between purple gear and gold gear but I can't say the same for the jewelry, weapons neither.
If you wanna gold something just gold your main hand weapon (never the off-hand because it's 10 weapon damage more for 8 Tempers) and your favorite or most used set.K1 The Big Monkey0 -

Full legendary vs full purple, sure. But the jewelry itself rarely warrants the kind of gold/time/rng required.

✭✭✭✭✭Its more important with some sets than others. You can put gold enhants on purple jewelry, so that part is a wash. All of your 2-4 bonus will be a few points higher with gold jewelry, but that is pretty minimal. Where the distinction comes in is that some 5 piece sets are flat bonuses regardless of quality, others scale with quality. On the later, gold jewelry is more important.3 -
