Finding jute for a high level character

Hi there, I'm in stonefalls with a champion character (using as a crafter for my new character). But all the items I harvest are high level and I can't find jute. I need to level up my clothier category, but I can't find any. Any ideas?

Umm you dont need jute to level up clothier (however, its dirt cheap at guild traders). Deconning your loot will give you more crafting exp than making jute armors, and if you want to do it faster, you can buy and decon items with Intricate trait.

50% chance the mat is based on character level.

50% chance the mat is based on your crafting skill level (that you have skillpoints in).

Respec and remove points from Clothing so you can only make L1-L19 items and you'll run across more jute. (You can still use the hireling and it should provide tier 1 mats, as well.)

Honestly though, simply sell some of the high level mats you get and buy a stack of jute from a guild store. It's that or make an alt for that purpose only.

Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

Just decon some high level stuff and your clothier will level. If on PS4 NA I could point you in the direction of some guild traders with it for sale. I usually list it around 2500 for 25 pcs. which does sell.

A few options, I think, in order of ease/feasibility:

Take any new character anywhere and you'll find Jute (since it's the default crafting item).

Deconstruct any lower-level cloth items on your new character (at or before item Lv. 14).

If you have any easy-to-reach Clothier Surveys from crafting on your main, give it to your new character to the location and you'll get 90-100 Jute.

Reset your skill points and don't add any to Clothworking, you'll see some Jute nodes on your main.

    Just a few ideas.

Thanks for all the ideas so far!!! I have been deconstructing high level items, so that's good, maybe I'll just get some jute with my new warden and transfer it over

Do crafting dailies: you get shipments of any cloth as reward.

-> obviously its refinded material already.

What i do is to just farm ancestral silk. Sell it on the guild trader. and then buy jute with the money i make.

Just to be clear. here.. those numbers on nodes are WAY off.

If I am in Stonefalls on my CP160, I get 100% Ancestral Silk nodes. I have not seen a Jute node in the last 4 months. Heck, my level 14, with no CP spent, gets 90% Flax.

Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

Thats pointless if you WANT jute. That was suggested as a way to level your crafter past the jute. Armor only results in the materials its made of. Its just,, if you dont have the points, you wont get Ancestral Silk from CP160 armor. It will tell you "Nothing from this decon" or whatever the brainless message is that I have not paid attention to in a long time.

Roll an alt, gather jute with the alt, dump it in the bank for your main.
