Crystal Fragements vs Merciless Resolve

I think these are the two skills that more direct damage can do and i cannot conclude which of both is more reliable. From one side Crystal Fragments can stun, do high damage, have a reduce cost but it depends in the proc chances. The proc chances are just luck, sometimes it can take a while before it procs, in battlegrounds sometimes I don't have the time enough for wait to it to happen, and sometimes it procs like 2, 3 or 4 times in a row. From the other side Merciless Resolve do more damage, it is more reliable because you know it only takes only 5 autoattacks for 100% sure , it increases your damage 8% for 20 seconds and it snares the enemy.

Now the question comes because i can't decide with which char should i focus more... both i like, both i find pros and cons and i'm between. Now it could help me to know the opinion of some other players, to know how they see things and how they could maybe help me.

What's your opinion between these two skills in pvp and pve?

One is an nightblade skill, the other is sorcerer so you can not have both on on character :)
I tend to miss the first proc of frag, on the other hand grim focus looks like require an good weaving to use accurate.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

When choosing between characters to focus on, you should look at a lot more than one skill.

I believe many here would say the sorc is the better or stronger all-around choice for pve and pvp ATM. it will open more doors for you to various types of content.

however, a NB is a strong class for stealth playstyle if that is what you like.

You are correct that both of those skills could be and often are key elements of the class play for damage but the whole of the play will revolve around the other 11 skills slotted and the passives.

it is bad to make decisions based on comparing two separate skills in isolation - because the rest of the story will involve passives. look at the passives that will be triggered by these two skills and that just starts to show more info.
