Reported bug with Shadowy Supplier in ESO PS4 and Zenimax waved me off like a piece of trash

FYI, I knew exactly what had happened readint eh first sentence because I've had bugs with the same shadowy supplier; we all have. I also don't have PS4, but that always recording part was irrelevant.

Maybe, if you "paid attention" to your inventory, you would have realized you actually had the same staff you had and a new item of the actual valid type the npc is supposed to give and you could have avoided posting the title of this topic as an insult to their support by "putting words in their mouths", unless the title is admitting that they were right to insult you(though they didn't) because you were clearly wrong?

I'm done with this topic that should never have been created. It's devolving into whining.

I wanted this to get attention and it is. Of course some will agree and some will disagree. It's still there. ZOS Support is terrible and they treat their paying customers like numbers. The only way to get a non robotic response is to continue to escalate.

I did not enjoy any of this. What got me is that the one support rep, Julie, made it sound like they were going to fix things. All I got after that was BS after BS.

1) The first rep you agreed with saying "she was going to fix it" has to say that as that's being nice to you even if it was your fault. (this is why this is first point but the second you won't like at all)

2) Of course you didn't like it because you didn't get your way and had to devolve to flopping on the floor wailing like a little kid not getting the cereal with the toy in it in the grocery store because his mother knows that Sugar Pops are not as healthy as Honey Nut O's and you like both anyway.

It's suspicious how the number of posts on this thread which bash me spiked dramatically as soon as I asked "Ronald" for the contact info of his direct report. I had no more youtube views than I did before I sent that email and yet... all of the sudden I have all kinds of people taking the side of ZOS (which most actual players make fun of 24/7).

Read my above post. I don't work for ZOS, though I would love to, just not talking to customers(especially ones like you which are a dime a doxen). ZOS reps posting on personal accounts are tracked like any company would. They could be reprimanded, or worse fired, for "calling it like it is"s I have. So I can't possibly be with them. It's not the staff. It's the principle. You don't understand obviously. The only thing I would do with another staff would be give it to a guildie or sell it.

Ok, civil post deserves civil response.

The "principle" of the thing is that your argument from the beginning was flawed because it was based on a flawed premise.
You assumed you were entitled to an item you knew you already had one of because the user interface showed it on your screen, which you know to mean you just looted it, and you instead received another item which was the advertised valid item you were entitled to. You are asking for them to give you something that was not intended simply because they couldn't guarantee it would work perfectly every time even though it worked nearly perfectly(just a visual issue).

I guess we're all entitled to survive every drive down the road because we've never been hit by another car even though we've seen close calls and others getting hit. It's advertised to be safe so long as you follow the rules so they must be able to guarantee every other driver follows the rules and would never drive drunk or fall asleep at the wheel or just be suicidal and take somebody else with them.

Welcome to the real world where you accept what happens or go insane with worry and paranoia.
