    Okay so you're not giving out 12k shields, you're only giving out 8k shields... Still pretty good.

    Yeah the shields are still vital. The issue came from tanks using balance to fill their magic to full with 1 cast and then spamming these strong shields. So now balance returns only 3k and if you put up a shield within 4 seconds it's a small shield. I'm pretty happy with the changes overall

    It doesn't provide a shield it just cuts your shields in half if cast within 4 seconds. So since DK's we're using it for mag to cast shields now it gives a smaller shield.

    This ability and its morphs now reduce all of your healing done and damage shields you create by 50% for 4 seconds, instead of preventing you from healing yourself.

    This I what I was mentioning. If you cast your igneous within 4 seconds of your balance it will be a small igneous shield

    Probably a perma block boring stamina tank that's useless.
    Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game.

    Seriously, I may be wrong, but are normal sets like viper and widowmaker even used for DPS in PVE? ZOS can adjust these sets and leave the monster sets alone for now. While it will improve PVP for sure, I don't think it will impact PVE at all.

    I praised that build. I honestly did. It was beautiful idea in new *** reality noone asked for and noone wanted.

    You nerfed it? Fine. But this? This?!
    Dragonknights stacking Max Health could create extremely powerful damage shields on multiple allies at the same time, making some encounters easier than intended. We’ve kept the damage shield strength on the casting Dragonknight the same, while making it less effective on allies.

    Oooooh, come on. We all know what it's all about.

    How many people have cleared vHoF? Hmm? Hush, elite, I know you did, it's not about you.

    I'm not even talking about existing "achievements" for no-death, speed, HM, destroying all terminals on vet... I'm not even talking about fancy elite stuff. Just nHoF and vHoF.

    My dear fellow tanks. Lets be honest: i used the exact build that was neefed. It was easy as hell, preatty strong and incredibly easy to master.

    Still im pissed about the chabges. Not because its now less op. Just because of lack of other viable support i can give to my group than 10k shields. Seriously noone is running after my orbs anymore when they can just do a heavy instead of using a laggy synergy. Alkosh? Have not tested it yet but at least its useless at first boss for lightning dmg users. Ebon? Sure one is using it but i dont have to do anything for it. Someone using lightning staff anymore? I liked it. Maby im such a noob but in vhof i dont like using it anymore. So seriously? What exactly can we do now other than giving group shields?

    Ps not sarcastic. Really interested in a more fun playstile than taunt/shield/shield/shield...

    Other than shields, Alkosh is meh, PA is gone... what else do we have...? Ultigen. I had a discussion with some other tanks and honestly, there isnt much we can do now besides shields and horns.

    The whole purpose of the build was to shield allies during high damage phases. The tank him/herself didn't need a bigger shield.

    I know that, but people say its a nerf to the tank, which its not. This change wont change a thing for the tank using this skill for self preservation.

    It's just sad for console peeps. Nerfed before we even had a chance to try it out. It already took ps4 NA the longest to beat VmAw last year. :(

    The given reason for the Equilibrium nerf was something like, "Because tanks were returning large amounts of magicka," and then the fix is to nerf OUTGOING healing instead! So, the obvious interpretation now reads something like, "Because this was not being used as intended, and because tanks are too powerful, we have removed its effectiveness for healers as well," and that doesn't follow.

    And, excuse me? This is what the spell does! It causes loss of health in return for some magicka regen. "But don't use that magicka, though. That isn't what we intended the spell to be used for."

    And, honestly, is this the game that the devs want to turn it into? Yeah, we all got hit hard last patch, but this is about the 3rd or 4th consecutive nerf to tanks in general, and with the plethora of self heals available in the game, the meta responds by training primary healers to be more support or off-dps instead, and again, is this what the devs want from us? Do we need to be tackling every 4 man dungeon with 4 dps instead? Is there a particular reason they hate the MMO trinity?

    For the record, I haven't ever once bought Equilibrium on any toon. Furthermore, tanking is definitely not my forte. But it is the principle of the thing. "We've offered you this, but don't use it, though. We don't like that you're actually playing the way the thing is written. So we're going to take it away from you. Oh, but you can have this sucker to compensate." Seriously?

    If you look through that last few patches and the changes to a lot of Templar Skills you'll see the reasons the Devs give for changes are usually just total BS made up after the change to try to justify it, then a patch or two later the "direction" they claim to have carefully been taking a class towards takes a 180 and they just expect people to forget what they've said in the past.

    Normally everyone says don't nerf a class, buff the others and that usually sounds horrible to me. Why try to buff a bunch of variables when you can drop one, but in this case I think that might be the case. DK tanks are a bit strong and the nerf is somewhat fine, but the problem is, every other class has been put in a bad spot by the ongoing nerfs over the past couple years to tanking. Those nerfs have been believed needed mainly b/c of DK tanks, but always hit other classes harder. Same with the morrowind patch changes. This bit of change is actually pretty decent at keeping DKs from being too much stronger than other classes at tanking, but unfortunately, past changes should be looked at to make tanking more enjoyable on other classes.
