Earthen Heart
Obsidian Shield:
Reduced the strength of the damage shield you apply to allies to 10% of your max health, down from 15%.

Mages Guild
Equilibrium:
This ability and its morphs’ Health to Magicka trade value is now determined by your character level, instead of scaling with your Max Health; it restores 3000 Magicka for 6000 Health at Rank IV.
This ability and its morphs now reduce all of your healing done and damage shields you create by 50% for 4 seconds, instead of preventing you from healing yourself.

This is really saddning to see that every creative thinking of the players into new builds and game play is run over by Devs NERFTRUCK. What is even point of doign theorycrafting and comign up with these build ideas and then working towards gearand then, RIP.

@ZOS_RichLambert - Why not you just publish the build ideas your team have based on which you people decide to make changes to skills and we players can simply follow it? Seems like you are pushing us into that direction only...

You still get the same value for yourself, just the shield to allies was reduced. Equilibrium was the ultimate nooby way of playing, glad that is nerfed.

Increased the strength of the damage shield you apply to yourself by 200%. The total shield value on yourself should remain unchanged after these changes.

so not a nerf for the tank, but the effect it has on its allies

I still do not understand this game, and I don't think I ever will. Why the F would the developers create/design a character and given its abilities and skillsets, and it goes online to the public/gamers, then you going to come and say.. oh, too much, lets dwindle that ability or abilities. What the freaking hell, man?! Is this nerfing crap also the norm for other MMO games? I have never seen this crap happening for any other publically and officially proclaimed, multi-awards winning, single player games. For those, all successive games have its characters/toons with better and/or improved skills and abilities; progress/going forward, not like this damn nerfing crap! Going backward.. wtf?!! How the hell are you expect to keep people in this game?! Bloody ffing hell! How have this game been winning MMO of the year. Those other MMOs must be in some poor, sad state, then..

Also, for those that keep saying, deal with it or it will be fine, or just manage your resources. Of course.. you have no choice but to re-manage the resources. However, that is not the point. Talking of resource management, I've been running treasure hunter, which the resources are already dwindled practically in half, for the past few months, and I still fair fine soloing even world bosses. It's the principle.. why are there so many accepting these nerfing crap?! Is it that they are just undaunted fans and will accept whatever this gaming developers are putting out? Well, good for them all. I'm just not a yes man or a group click type guy.

Biggest Guild have find The way to pass the content like for example the tank that gave a shield to the ally and not another nerve whereas it has been a long time that the tanking had not become so interresting.

those changes are pretty minimal, especially the balance one, if you keep the damage shield % on yourself you can still spam igneous and take bare minimum damage, just need to be careful in the timing.

The only part that is off putting is the developer comment.

Dragonknights stacking Max Health could create extremely powerful damage shields on multiple allies at the same time, making some encounters easier than intended

That's a pretty bold statement to make based on the top 1% and kinda unprofessional way of going about it, but thats just me. I wouldn't go around saying easier than intended unless something is bugged

In this respect ESO is a typical MMO:

1) Update goes to PTS
2) Players provide feedback
3) Devs don't listen to anything that doesn't fit their agenda
4) Update goes live
5) Devs realise what they had been told was correct and the nerfbat swings mightily for weeks after.

Resource management for stam dk's did take a significant hit with Morrowind. I haven't looked at the patch notes or determined what the exact changes were that created this result, but I can guarantee that this did happen. My main is a stam DK tank, and now shards are almost a must have for longer fights.....unless I really focus on not spamming skills. Changes were made even though I can't tell you exactly what those changes were.

I've noticed the resource management changes, but I haven't had any complaints about my buffs not being up to snuff. (and for those that don't know this already, tanking is all about what you can do for the group. It has very little to do with what you want to do for yourself. A good tank will, generally, have a rough time of it doing solo content in a timely manner)
