Two days ago, ZOS has reverted the group finder changes from Morrowind back to those of Homestead, the worst state the Group Finder has been in so far, instead of reverting them to pre-Homestead. With making this guide public, I hope to catch ZOS's attention to fix the Group Finder quicker. And at the same time, those who read it, may use it for faster queue times.
A big problem of the old state of GF is not only that it just doesn't work as intended. When a random Healer or Tank declines the pop, the whole party is thrown out of queue. DDs that waited for hours waited for nothing. It was not their fault the Tank or Healer, who had a queue time of 3 seconds, declined. Yet, they have to requeue. Also, if it still says "queued" after a Tank or Healer declined, it's a bug. The DDs are not in queue anymore and have entered an infinite state of "queued".
Step 1: Put both Healer and Tank role, remove DD.
Step 2: Queue for Random Veteran and decline the pop. Rinse and repeat. Do this until you stop getting instant pops. Usually, it takes about 15 - 20 queues during prime time.
By doing this, you're sending all DDs in queue into the "infinite queue" zone.
Step 3: Remove Tank and Healer role, put DD, queue for Random Veteran (or any other Veteran dungeon) and enjoy the <1 minute queue time.
