Questions for my Warden

estrong20b14_ESO
I started with a Dark Elf, planning dual wield and bow. But then changed to Imperial with sword and shield, and bow. I'm not putting points into magica, mostly to stamina.

Since there are so many variable opinions, my questions are how to best utilize the Warden abilities with my present class and only solo. I'm only level 16 now.

I'm no expert or anything, I only recently got to 50 with my Warden. While I was leveling, I tried a few different ability set ups.

The thing that irritated me most about playing stamina was that the better AoE abilities for Wardens are pure magicka cost. Impaling Shards, Combined with the damage morph of Artic Wind, meant I could run in, cast those two abilities and everything would die around me. Sure the base damage is based on HP for shards, but it still costs magicka to use.

Subterranean Assault was annoying to use when mobs like moving around you. It only felt good to use when the mobs were distracted by someone else and stayed in front of me.

On top of that, the two healing abilities that are amazing for melee users, BOTH cost magicka. Living Vines(with Leeching Vines morph) and Lotus Flower(with Green Lotus morph).

Netch, and Falcon's are AMAZING with the good morphs. Dive is great for ranged single target if you want more Warden abilities. Bull Netch gets you major brutality(20% weapon dmg) with stam regen. The Bird of Prey morph of Falcon's Swiftness gives you minor berserk(8% dmg) also with stam regen. Green Lotus gives you weapon crit and heals on hit.

Ice Fortress looks like a must have. 8% dmg reduction on top of the physical and spell resist is pretty amazing. Probably good to have on your Sword and Board bar.

Bear is nice to have around for extra damage, but the thing is glitchy as hell. There will be times when he'll just disappear because the path got too narrow or something. When he's around, though, he has an interrupt/stun that doesn't count toward your limit. So you can stun immediately after he does. He does a good job of using his interrupt against enemies using big abilities.

You can morph Fungal Growth for Stamina if you want a good heal on your Sword bar.

Honestly, you shouldn't have much trouble as long as you don't rely too much on Winter's Embrace abilities, since you wont have much magicka.

Personally, the fact that so many fun abilities cost Magicka is really making me want to roll a magicka warden now that my stamina one is 50. I might try and Frost Staff wielding tank.

Thanks, Cheveyo I'm somewhat torn myself between stamina and magika Being solo, is why I chose stamina. The magika Warden is great for groups.
