What is the best PVP trait?

Chelister

So the most popular are: infused / impen / divines

For my Sorcerer I go divines on small pieces and infused on large pieces

What about PVP stamina templar? what should it be like?

Does your build affect what traits are most optimal?

Edit:
Best traits for - Stamina Templar non-CP campaign / Magicka Sorcerer (pet build) non-CP campaign
Same for CP campaigns
Traits for both body parts + weapons
A small clarification

Personally, I go all impen on all my armor pieces.

90% of people will say all impen.

Do whatever you feel comfortable with though. If you can play well enough where you don't need it then infused/divines will make you a more effective offensive player.

Well, depends on the purpose of your build.

Generally impen is very common in PvP. Sharpened also. But as an example of variety, on my back bar my bow is defending for some added resistance.

Edit: A more direct answer to your question. Yes, your build and what you want it to ultimately achieve definitely affects what is "optimal".

I go with Well Fitted on a few pieces sometimes, but mostly Impenetrable. Sharpened on weapons, sometimes Defending on a backbar weapon. Infused can also be used on backbar if you're doing something like a weapon damage enchant on a backbar bow.

Context is important. What class, what spec, no CP? For me, a light armored magicka Templar in no CP, 7 impen is the answer.

If I'm on a stamina toon, I'd probably trade 1 or 2 of those for well-fitted. If I plan to block, some sturdy might do as well/instead.

Personally, infused and divines, while nice (because they're not prosperous/training), I would only ever take on a shield, and that's if I couldn't get my hands on a better trait.
The generally amicable yet sporadically salty magplar that may or may not have 1vXed you in Sotha Sil. Who knows?

Ex-stamplar here. Currently a hybrid but my choice of armour traits are unchanged.

I personally use Infused on large pieces (except for shields as I use Sturdy or Impen) and Divines on small pieces. I don't use Impen at all and I find that I survive well and I like to maximise on other things instead of just stacking high levels of crit dmg reducs.
More to gain that way if you ask me.

On a SnB character 5 impen, 2 sturdy and a sturdy shield. I found 3 sturdy pieces really useful, for example for magDK.

Impenetrable is a trait for "body parts". I'm sorry but I can't comment on Templar and mag sorc because I've only ever played stam NB. Search on YouTube for Morrowind specific builds. Now with Morrowind early access I am sure builds are being posted on YouTube now.

On one of my magsorc builds with huge shields, I like infused on the big pieces(bigger shields) and well fitted on the others.
On lower mag builds, with smaller shields, I prefer impen

Unless You are running some very specific builds (shield stacking MagSorc, Eternal Hunt build or GankBlade) it's always better to go full impen.

the introduction of the Impregnable Armor Set has made other traits than impen allot more viable.
whit Impregnable Armor Set jewelry and weapons someone can for example go balls out on sturdy and well-fitted if they like while still having the same crit resistance as before.
