    ok im back....

just like all the rest lol!!

wont be long before another streamer makes a come back - why? because they love ESO!!
    - in b4 s...phr makes a comeback

Often it is twitch views/subs decay that drags them back. When those dollars stop flowing they suddenly change tune. Seen it a few times while playing WoW, rarely you get the hugely popular channels who can actually hop games because the viewers are there for the player, not the game content (Reckful and Sodapoppin are two prime examples).

That's (usually) because the streamer thinks their personally is what's bringing in the views, not the content they're covering.

It's gilliantherogue. He is the only person making and doing things on deltia website. Hopefully the will change the site so players won't get confused if there is builds or updates.

I'm curious how many of the people bashing him did ESO as a JOB for hours every day and posted content for others? Oh, that's right, it's far easier to just make a snarky personal attack on someone.

So when Gilliam/Alcast/Fengrush was putting out information for free....their builds were crap? It is only when they started doing this for profit that their builds became good? SHM.... OP logic is crap.

Deltia has done a lot for this community, especially over the first 18 months. He has great ideas, not just confined to gaming. His ideas aren't always perfect and when you supply your ideas to the masses, you have to understand there will be kick back. He understands this, so should you.

When you have a funeral for your Templar after reading "Week One Patch Notes", you open yourself to ridicule. Fact is, like it or not, his "brand" grew larger after the stunt.

Personally, I think the community was better with him apart of it but if he isn't having fun anymore, I wish him the best in Star Wars, Ashes of Creation, Hello Kitty Adventures or whatever he wants to play.

Wait. Are you saying ZOS paid him to play? Because thats what a job is...

Playing a game and begging people to donate to your fund is NOT. Its begging.

Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

Why is this a thread? And how is this thread still open, isn't it shamming to a certain extent?

Zo$ logic is silly. A bunch of clowns a few months back goes around using a cheat engine, breaks the game, and literally ruins the gameplay for hundreds of people. Zo$ rushes to the forums and removes all posts about them under name shamming.

But a streamer has a mental breakdown and holds a pretend funeral for his fictional character (RIP btw, I hope you received the flowers we sent) and Zo$ lets his name get shamed, drug through the mud, and made fun of for days on end...

I don't feel completely sorry for Deltia, he opened himself up for ridicule from the community but I do find it shady Zo$ went out of their way to protect the cheat code breakers but hardly lift a finger to stop these threads when they pop up

Okay, this one's fairly simple: Being Deltia isn't shameful. He may have done some intellectually questionable things. But, simply existing isn't shameful.

Now, some people don't like Deltia. Some people may, deliberately, misspell his name, "Deletia," on a regular basis. But, that doesn't make his life shameful.

However, the guys accused of using cheat engine, that's different. You see, we know Deltia exists. What we don't know is if someone's using cheat engine, or scamming other players, or making death threats. We don't actually know that unless we saw it for ourselves. However, it is very easy for someone to come onto the forums and say, "yeah, so this dude I just met is totally a bank thief." No one likes bank thieves, no one likes any of the other things you can legitimately shame someone over. But, if "this dude," isn't actually a bank thief, what's happening is someone's trying to start a witch hunt. Intentionally trying to make life hell for another player because of a grievance that never happened.

If someone was accusing Deltia of using cheat engine, or being a bank thief, then, that would get shut down on the spot. But, they're not. People are accusing Deltia of being Deltia. That's not naming and shaming.

I hope he is back. If only for the sake that I want as many people playing the game as possible. I've read his builds and have experimented with them. His information is good and accurate -what more do you want from him?

I don't buy into bloggers, streamers, twitter feeds, etc. - I tend to make my own decisions so the fact that he likes attention means nothing to me. I find that part a bit sad actually - I hate attention ***.

That being said, if he had just shaved his head like Brittney I think he would have gotten MUCH more attention.

Honestly I love the 'nobody cares' reaction. This is the reaction we should be having.

Yeah, dude got angry. Yeah, dude might be coming back. I think he said he wasn't quitting but that Swtor might be his main focus.

Whatever. People just wanna go "I told you so".

Edit: It's also apparently extremely apprent Gilliam wrote build. Thank you, OP, @Balamor and everyone else who's on the bash Deltia Bandwagon for spreading lies and misinformation. Seriously, people, do your research.

I would say that almost 100% of us (yes, made up statistic) have been in that very same boat. I have been there more than once - I just didn't video it for all to see my nerd rage. I have too much personal pride.

I'll say it one more time - it was all for the attention. You don't symbolically bury your "toon" on video unless you want people to see it.

Your still ignoring the fact the build wasn't made by deltia, tho. This is deliberate misinformation. The one thing I saw, was a Warden leveling stream, and that might not have been Deltia either, I sub to a couple people who stream. (Hell, might have been Gilliam or just Deltia wanting to check the thing out, who the *** knows?)

Enough. Let the thread die. It's just people taking potshots at the guy now. Let it go.

PS: @Bouldercleave Dont quotemine me. Y'gonna quote me, quote all of it for context. Lying by omission is still lying.

In my opinion, ESO would be worse off without streamers like Deltia, Fengrush, Sypher, Alcast, Elloa, etc. I may not always agree with their presentation, ideas, etc., but I've learned something from each and every one. I'm not the fanboi type, but it's nice to have people as passionate about the game as I am.

Gilliam The Rouge is a great contributor to the ESO community albeit he contributes more "quietly" than lets say a streamer does. He is very knowledgable about how the game functions under the hood and is an excellent theorycrafter. Most importantly though, he is a very nice guy, very patient, and will assist anyone with questions.

Is that really a meltdown though? Was he just suppose to stop making eso videos all together? Or some serious quitting video? (He'd probably get more hate)

All he did as an "entertainer" was provide some flavor to his loyal eso fan base. A fan base that's been with him and supported him for years. How could that be an attention grabbing meltdown?

I would have had much more respect if he had just gone on and said "due to the changes in game play and core philosophy of the company, I am bowing out from creating any more videos and streams for a game that I can no longer support".

But that's just me. I don't believe what he did was entertaining. Don't get me wrong, I have said and continue to say that I have looked at his builds and experimented with them. I respect him greatly for his knowledge of the game and the information that he provided. I will do the same for Gilliam. But please keep the crazy crap to yourself.

I also develop mods for other games - with 100k downloads etc. etc., so i can say I do contribute to communities of games I'm part of.

    Deltia doesn't contribute crap.

Since you'r on ESO forum, we'll talk ESO context. Deltia contributed with, if not over 100 videos of builds, guides, walktrough's. He taught many players how to be competitive in end game content. You on the other hand you havent contribute ***. Also to all others who say "Deltia who?, Who cares?!" and stuff.
