The collectors edition physical just dropped £30 on game.co.uk. I wonder if all editions have had a price drop.

sad times, that statue looks awesome.

33 percent price drop seems a lot for a few days pre release, its gone form £90 to £60

I wouldn't even pay £60 for it. Probably not even £30, to be honest. It's just an... underwhelming CE.

Well that's annoying, only £10 more than I paid for the Digital Collectors edition.

On the plus side I don't have to deal with Game, and it's not like we have space for another statue. But it's still kind of annoying.

Well I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to seeing my statue, however bit annoying for those that ordered the digital collectors edition for £50.

Maybe its a last minute attempt at extra sales. To be fair I think they would have had more sales if it was that price initially.

Wich is still pretty cheap considering the contents and what CE's normally cost with the included content. Mostly adds up to 120-150 euro's.

Really? I think that art book with the game is in itself already worth that money. Take in consideration that you do get the expansion + base game wich goes at retails for 60 euros. Meaning that the statue art book (wich is really beautifull as it has the same cover and decorations as the first one) and map will cost you 40 euro's.

I saw that PS+ users are getting a 10% discount.
I don't think sales went according to their projections and are making a late minute effort to scam convince people in buying this.
As much as I love to play this game every patch and DLC/patch brings more problems.
I'm done paying for more problems.

I'm excited for the book and the statue, I also think £60 is reasonable compared to most games today, and this does include the base game plus the expansion/addon/dlc. Like I said before, the people who paid pledged to pay 90 are probably pretty chuffed right now, and for the others its an extra incentive to buy.

Day One isn't isn't until Tuesday but to judge it now you've obviously been able to see into the future.

Then again, if I had that ability I probably wouldn't be spending my time checking out future releases, I'd be checking next week's lottery numbers  !

No wonder. I got the likes of Mass Effect, Horizon etc for £15 cheaper than the digital CE. Hell, £50 is what most full AAA games retail for even on PSN.

Milking people, the whales and the apologists works well when kept within the confines of the game, but when it's out there for all to see, sitting next to £7 - £20 dlc it looks bad. It can't hide behind crowns, which if we're being honest masks the price of most things for a lot of people. Nothing about this dlc stands out from the rest, yet it had a CE sitting there at £50. £45 ain't much better. People can argue that it isn't dlc, but it's where both MS and Sony deemed fit to place it, so it falls under dlc.

Yep....been writing most of what you commented since Jan and odd ppl are still debating. Not that my comments hold any merit but regarding how both Sony and Xbox list it as dlc.

And.....the fact that nothing expands upon the base game, it's just a new zone like all other DLCs and this even requires that you start over if a new character so it's definately not an expansion.

I could see if the Warden class skills were opened up for all existing character as a storyline skill expansion but it's not

$30. Essentially the "chapter" is not even worth 60 bucks it should be more around 20 bucks. But paying only 30 plus the added bonus of a hefty statue and a nice leather bound book and a throwaway map. I don't see why not. If anything It can be resold sometime down the line.

Im just venturing into Morrowind now and im quite dissapointed with the size of the Zone. Im actually thinking is this really worth £60, although that does include Statue and Book i just dont see the Zone being worth this much money. I wont ever get to run the new Trial in Vet because it will likely require me to bash my keyboard a million times for high dps, i aint got enough free time to roll a Warden from scratch and im not really into PVP. It doesnt really leave much. Ah well i will be more carefull with my pennies next time.

I was also disappointed in the digital content of Morrowind. I participated in the PTS and decided not to buy due to the price and what it offered. The physical stuff, however, I think is worth the price (at least the price now). I love art books for games and a statue always looks nice somewhere near your PC.
I won't be playing for a while, but I ordered the offer from Game since the price dropped.

The bonus to buying these things...they are worth a little bit more in the long run. I still have a mint fallout 3 lunch box edition that sells for a hefty amount now. Original imperial edition with molag statue still sells well if it's all original and complete.

So have you actually sold those items, or is it just that you like the fact that they are 'potentially' worth more while they are still cluttering up your shelves that appeals? :D I could have gold bullion on my shelf, but unless I sell it, it's still just a chunk of something gathering dust :D

For sure this. But like my Lego UCS Millennium Falcon, Y Wing, ATST,Tantive 5, Yoda and Star Destroyer, they are collecting dust. But this mere "£1k investment" is sitting a net value atm of near £10k (all boxed and sealed still) just for a bit of lego that's dusting up in the attic awaiting retirement /supercar in 30 years time. Everything game and toy related that is truly limited will only ever gain value. Hold onto it for a while (not 1-2 years) and profit.

Wow, you've got the LEGO Millenium Falcon? I used to work for LEGO a few years ago, and I've only heard stories about the growth of the value of that thing. Well done for getting one.
We received the original LEGO shop as a set as our xmas present that year, which was previously given to customers doing the tour in Danemark. I managed to sell it for £500. LEGO collectors are crazy (in a good way if you're looking to sell).

Maybe for some games. IIRC my ESO Imperial Edition did not drop in price. And my latest collectors edition from Game (Mass Effect Andromeda) dropped by £5. But a 30% price drop is rather unique I'd say.

Yep and I bought it new from a shop. Only one I missed out on was the super star destroyer. They were £350 last year..which is actually stupidly cheap for the largest model ever (1.1m) and now they are near £1k already.

Anyway. OT everyone this set is a worth while purchase. Secretly I ordered 2. One to sell immediately for double to get the game for free and the other will be cherished for a good few years.
