Ah yes, the player we all love. Joins a dungeon as a mage sorc, runs into mob group, throws down lighting, and promptly dies to trash while yelling "stupid healer!".

Or the tank with 15 k hp and no taunt.

Or the healer who doesn't heal anyone but themselves and thinks they're DPS.

    We need more of them.

I mean would you rather have a lvl 50 that has all their abiltys and doesnt know what to do or a lvl 15 that has 3 abilitys and doesnt know what to do.

You spammed one aoe skill for 600 cp and still have no idea how to do a rotation and have no idea how to use your class

    Lol that was really clever.

Yes, your point is grinding is pointless and you learn nothing from it sure......

My point was you mindlessly grind so you have all your abilities and can work on your build AFTER!!! Grinding.

I'm assuming the OP is being sarcastic.

This is a roleplaying game. The basic premise is that you explore a large storyworld while gradually gaining and integrating new skills.

Instant super-powers are great in first-person shooters and fighting games.

    This is a roleplaying game.

How do you explain pvp? Or even dungeons or trials?

    Its still boring

So is doing the same damn quests you did last time. Only thing that aint boring is leveling by pvpeing, but everytime you level you have to make completely new gear to stay "bis".

PvP was introduced into MMO-RPG's to broaden the player base and bring in people who aren't RPG gamers, and to give RPG gamers something else they could do with their characters they created.

    Dungeons are a mainstay of pen-and-paper RPG's since red-box D&D.

Trials are one more activity added to provide additional ways to experiment with characters.

Are you saying that this is not what a roleplaying game is? If so, you're going against nearly fifty years of history dating back to the original Dungeons and Dragons (pen and paper) and Wizardry 1 (PC).

Ok nice explanation but my point still stands for people that want to pvp or do dungeons grinding to 50 then questing is still going to be faster than just questing.

Thats my point, im not saying its the only way to play. If you want to slowly level and gain skills slowly do it but that isnt the only way to play.

What...?? No im not saying anything like that.....

All im saying is there are alot of diffrent ways to play.
your way i find slow and boring and if inwanted to play like that i would play skyrim or fallout 4.

ESO is a rpgMMO with lots of differently ways to play , i PvP so i grind my toons to get into pvp asap.

I played through the story once and again found it slow and boring and if thats all this game was i would be gone . But thankfully pvp is a thing and im still here. :)

False dichotomy. I want someone who enjoys interacting with other people in an articulate fashion and engaging with a robust fantasy world. If we die a few times on a complicated boss pull, I don't mind if the company is good and the conversation interesting.
