Trials?

What level cp should you be to do a trial? I'm about 300 cp but I'm told you need max cp and atleast all purple gear. Do you really need max cp and purple/gold gear and weapons to complete a trial. Also if not, how do you find a group willing to do it with someone who's not "maxxed out"?

If you roll a magicka toon you should be fine in trials if you are a good player. Shields are very strong and forgiving. Being a good player highly outperforms any gear or cp.

I ran several dozend normal craglorn trials with Some cp 200-300 guys. It's really not that hard. MoL is a different book.

Gear has not to be BiS. But make sure it is at least purple. Of course you should know your rotation etc. That is more important than BiS gear.

Just look out for someone asking for more people for nTrials in the zone Chat. I never saw someone getting kicked for being Underleveled. But it is wise to wait till you are at cp160 for gear trading etc.

For normal trials the only requirement in my guild is 160 CP and Discord.

We then talk with that person afterwards, if we see glaring issues.

As far as Vet trials are concerned, we require a DPS test. DPS in this game depends a little on gear and A LOT on your player skill. Find a 3 million target skeleton, after you kill it it'll tell you in chat how much damage per second you did. Kill it from 100 to 0 %.

if you can do 15k DPS to it you are very much fine for normal trials, if you can do 20 to 25k you can start thinking about veteran trials.

First come first serve, but better be champion 10 at least for normals.

How do you find people to take you if you've never done one before?

Find a guild that runs normal trials, like I did.
Huyen Shadowpaw, dedicated nightblade tank - PS4 (Retired)
Huyen Swiftpaw, nightblade dps - PC EU (Retired)
Huyen Lightpaw, templar healer - PC EU (Retired)
Huyen Swiftpaw, necromancer dps - PC EU (Retired)
Huyen Swiftpaw, dragonknight (no defined role yet)

Normal trials can easily be done with CP300.

Vet trials probably as well but it will greatly depend on the group and raid leader.
