repairing siege engines doesn't seem to work

I tried to repair my siege engine a couple of times and it lowers the health of it. Is this suppose to happen?

smtdbplus✭✭✭If a siege is unmanned for ~20+ seconds, its health will drop faster than your can repair.
Just 'E‘ to used the siege for 1 second to stop it's 'bleeding'. And continue to repair.

Lirkin✭✭✭✭I was not under attack when I was trying to repair the siege. I set it up out of combat and it was stable until I went to repair it. Then the health of it dropped. I thought I would be able to bring it back up to full health.

✭✭Just use 2 repair kits, then shoot once, use 2 rep kitschig and shoot again and so on.

✭✭Health drains after like 5 seconds of not using it. To repair it you actually need to do the repairing while the siege it reloading. So shoot, repair, ahoot and so on.PS4 NA DC0 -
