Is it Even Worth it?

I have always been a PVE player but decided on Tuesday to spend the day in Cyrodil. I really need to get my Assault to lvl 5 so I can get Vigor for my squishy NB (lvl 33). However, the majority of my time was spent dying or running towards my group and letting them do the work. I was there for several hours and think I just got halfway through lvl 3. Is it even worth going into Cyrodil before you hit CP status? I mean, I really NEED Vigor but it is just disastrous being in there right now. Any tips on leveling a non CP in Cyrodil? (PS4/NA)

Stay with a group, make sure you're in all impen. Pick up those alliance quests on the board, repair walls and siege during big fights(fire ballista is all you need). That's only if you aren't killing that well. Everyone needs vigor at some point.

Equestrian Simulator 2014 is quite unforgiving to newbies, no matter what level they are. Even if you were at CP cap you'll get blown up in less than 10 seconds if you don't know what you are doing, then spend 4 minutes riding back to the fight only to get blown up in less than 10 seconds again.

Supposedly the next holiday event includes a 2x AP scroll as a reward, which would make this faster for you. Last time there was 2x AP, it took me maybe 1.5 hours to unlock Vigor, but I'd already played a bunch on a previous character, so I knew basically what I was doing.

If I leave the campaign I am in, don't I get 'penalized' somehow for abandoning the campaign? I thought about this but didn't want to get a penalty for bailing.

And even the bounty missions and other missions are next to Impossible because the keeps it wants me to take are wayyy behind enemy lines. I guess I just need to keep going back until I catch on to everything. :| I was in a group with 15 other people and we were doing well but then we would split up and it just got so slow on gaining the AP that I went back to PVE Vigorless.

You need the Siege Monkey skill line with the Keep Defense and Keep Offense passives. By the time you level those up you should have your Vigor.

Don't go to the main CP campaings is your are below-50 or low CP. That is what below-50 and nonCP campaings are for. You inexperience in PvP also dosn't help, think like a PvE newbie trying to go to vMoL, PvP takes time to learn.

That being said, running around without knowing where to go and dying 3 seconds after getting into a fight, is a common thing for new players. Cyrodrill is a huge map, and if you don't understand how the battle flows, you will spent a lot of time horse riding to nowhere. Try to join a guild and play with a group, eventually you will get good and be able to play solo, or you will remain a zergling =)

It's a common complaint. Vigor requires about 100k ap in total. You also really want caltrops eventually...it's about to get very good. That's 185k ap. Some tips:

    1. Go into a delve and kill a boss once per hour. This puts a buff on your character sheet that gives you +20% AP. Bam...grind reduced.

    2. Be aware there's about to be a midsummer festival where you get scrolls like all the previous festivals...just instead of Double xp, this one is double ap. Just FYI so you don't feel ripped come summer. It already passed pts testing.

    3. Wall and door repair are a good way to turn gold to ap. Buffed on the boss kill thing a repair is worth 81 AP, so 10,000 ap costs you 11k gold, not the worst exchange in the game. After a battle, you can easily nab 2k in repairs. Or go in off hours and go to the far keeps your team owns. There's always good wall repair opportunities there.

    4. A keep take is worth min 6k. Resources are 1.5k. So a complete ring is 10.5k norm, 12,600 buffed. To get your vigor, you're talking 7ish complete keep captures, 15 for caltrops. This is doable in 1-2 sessions of pvp. Follow the Zerg to the next big battle.

    5. Your value as a low level NB isn't to be in the middle of your group. Honestly...that's not even the value of a high level NB. Get up on a tower and keep watch. Poison inject people attacking your team from afar. Watch your team's back.

    6. You can have one home campaign and one guest. You can group and follow anyone into any campaign. The only advantage of your home campaign is leaderboard tracking...which you don't need right now. Play in any of them.

    7. On PS4 NA, Azuras Star is empty. People use it to play pve and get achievements. You can ap farm here pretty well. Go take resources. It'll toughen you up, lol. For a stamblade, cloak into the tower then kill tower mage, flag menders, flag, guards, door mender, door guard. Then stand on the flag and watch your back. It's easier with a friend when at low levels.

    8. Whenever you're playing pvp, carry the five repeatable quests from the base. If playing like in tip 7, do those specific resource captures. That makes it 1600 ap for the resource and a bonus 2k. If playing broader pvp, work toward the other quests. Note that you can drop them and pick up a new one and *sometimes* get a better objective. If you get a keep capture way on the other side of the world, drop and pick up until you get something favorable. If your team goes for a scroll, go drop and pick up until you get that scroll quest. If a scroll is returned and your up on the map (notmin a delve) you get the complete.

    9. On the business vet campaigns...Scourge for you...massive zergs are constantly pushing the other teams back. When you look at the map and your team has been pushed aaaaaaaaalllllll the way back and lost their keeps, if it's a busy play time that's a good time to jump in and wait for your guys to gather their forces. In many cases, once this happens it'll be bam. Bam, bam like five keeps in a row.

Good luck. You're right, vigor will change your stamblades life...especially someone who was spoiled by a mega-healing main, lol. Just keep at it, and be thankful they changed the system last year...I worked for 1.1 million ap to get vigor...ugh. THAT was a long grind. But it also made every alliance war level up feel like a massive accomplishment.

Vigor is good is you have survival issues. But even when you get epic with your NB and feel like you no longer need a self (+group) heal, people keep recommending me to get caltrops. Supposedly it's a good skill for facing multiple targets.

grab the PVP quests from the board (kill x number of x, etc.). When the group goes to take a keep, ask if anyone has the quest to share.

don't stand in the red circles ;)

Yes, it's very much worth it, and if you can get a good build, quite fun.

the new caltrop stacking (why did they revert this exactly?) will be stupid-mode.

Also, remember, you're fighting against people who literally do nothing but pvp. Of course they're better at it than you. But with some practice and the right build you can compete. Stam NB has been one of the strongest pvp setups for a long time.

Firstly, running in a group may lead to some AP gains, but you will never learn and just keep on dieing time and again.
    Stamina NB non vet build:
    x3 marksman/leki/agility jewels
    x5 eternal hunt
    x3 night silence
With that regen you're safe to invest in weapon damage glyphs.
If you are willing to farm gear: 5 spriggan/5 eternal/2 night silence(eternal on back bar)
If you want to be a tryhard: x5 Beekeeper x5 Viper x2 lekis
Before everyone starts questioning those builds,it's non vet ,not too many options
