Oh by the way, this thread is probably gonna get locked since Zeni doesn't like it when we talk about their moderators here.

Most of the ones i have seen closed where worded very poorly, be it threats or simply complaint threads with no feedback on what could be done to remedy the situation. OR are in the wrong section. I have been a form mod for blizzard and honestly its a pain in the butt because of the fact there are 10 of you at most vs 3-10million players.

Yet 99% of threads get ignored that are asking for legit information and updates, is this not a bit hippocritical? I mean you happily chime in when someone posts a stupid picture on the game and or close a thread that is deemed "irrelevant" but seemingly take no action in helping address serious questions and concerns? If you need an example see console vmol thread.
Is everything OK there or you under a strict nda and censorship regime? Not a troll post just trying to understand the logic on here at times. Doesn't need forum input by any means at all. Would like a mod to reply only.

Is this the new warden move?, or like the urban dictionary definition of being mean to large people?
Couldn't resist- sorry for not being constructive
Moderators are not designers, the ones locking threads have no answers for you.
Jessica and Gina also only have answers they're given, this is why more developers should have forums accounts and chime in.

Imagine responding to 50000 questions and each one will only take you one second - 14 hours! Now my work day has 8 hours and obviously I would be unable to respond that fast.
I for example find the communication with the ESO live format a lot more personal than any text I could read here.

That's great, however consider these factors.
Do they communicate the full agenda for the program? No they certainly don't, so why is it reasonable to expect 2/3rds of the market to watch just to get an update on a broken part of the product, as an example is that reasonable.
What about our Italian, French, German, Russian, Spanish etc friends? Do you think it's reasonable to expect them to have to understand English just to get an update, you can't google translate live video. Again majorly out of touch.
What exactly is you ASA case, as I am pretty sure ZOS has its butt covered if you've logged in and accepted the ToS (which you have).DRXHarbinger wrote: »Moderators are not designers, the ones locking threads have no answers for you.

That's not the question, in the past and rarely mod's have chimed in to forward stuff on, like tickets for issues, bots, answers from devs. I guess it is a question for both the "community team" and the mods. same applies to both.
Hence the NDA and censorship comment, only logical response being they are told not to say anything that can "incriminate" them and worsen the matter (in reference to ignoring vmol on console) which is by far the most stupid approach.
to elaborate, ZOS communicate this forum to be a valid place to raise complaints, questions and concerns right? Currently my open case with the ASA in the UK is pending their communication to ZOS and they have 14 days from the dated letter (just over a week ago) to reply back to me and close the complaint or respond to them. So far both of us have had silence, if this particular case is ignored and isn't fixed to the described experience zos is promising at point of sale / interest it will go quite badly for them and it will be all their fault. to give you an example of how the fine will work. it will be X number of complaints (zos says use the forum and tickets etc so go figure how many they have had) X instances where they have charged people for a faulty product (so ESO plus subs screw them here) and then factored with the severity on the breech (well it's certainly not working to the experience as described) and how well they co-operate (they obviously don't know the meaning)
I have no idea what the outcome could possibly be but I'd say it's exponentially more than hiring a team to grind out a fix for less than the 100 days it's been busted for.
6th of June will be an interesting day.

Because the mods aren't playing ESO. They have no clue about the game. This is why I insist to have player moderators. This way they could actually help with game issues and questions too.

People tried to have the ASA clamp down on No Man's Sky and the only way that could have worked was if the adverts on Steam promised something the game didn't offer, that game also didn't have (to my knowledge) a ToS which clearly states if something isn't working correctly they're not liable for legal action.6. Cba to get drawn into an argument with you but you cannot legally waiver regardless if it's terms of service a product working as described. Not in the EU anyway. Same as those risk disclaimers we all sign for hazardous activities. You cannot waive liability for injury illness or death under the unfair contracts act. You can put whatever you please in these worthless terms it doesn't make them regocnised by law.

So, you've essentially been forced to file a claim by law.
Well that's nuts.

I guess the mods are ignorant of the word ignorant...sigh...
But I guess that's what happens when they hire interns and entry level employees to moderate the game forums.

Less that they post the less responses they get from players/less work they have to do. Also, I'd assume that the group that handles moderating on the forums is generally less involved with the development process and thus is less likely to comment on game changes, as they'd have to take time to ignore the ever growing list of threads/comments in order to find info on that one issue which will likely cause a burst of activity that will further bog them down.
This is of course under the assumption that this department is relatively small.

Edit: Stupid draft saves.
Wow, the aggressiveness. No wonder there is moderation happening. Btw discussing moderation is against the forum rules afaik. Maybe keep it on the communication aspect if your idea really is to discuss something.
