Does the theme of Warden conflict with that of ESO ?

Its not a secret (and I hope no one will deny this) that ESO is more of "single player" MMO when compared to others.

Of course we do have group finder/BGs many aspects of ESO is geared towards single players.

So having said that did ZOS/ESO make a mistake of choosing Warden to be more support/group oriented "jack of all trade" class ?

You can't have a "single player MMO." The two terms I diametrically opposed.
The main Elder Scrolls games (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, etc) ar single player games. Putting a warden into one of those games would be out of place as there is no meaningful group play. In ESO, though, it's fine. It's an online game with huge amounts of group content, both PvE and PvP. In fact, I'd say that the Warden fills a support-role niche that's been vacant for a long while.

I don't think eso is more of a single player compared to other mmo. The AvAvA, 5 guild options, and trails are examples that conflict with your claim.

ESO is a single player MMO?

ESO has a strong raiding community. PvP is done in groups much of the time and BGs are group by design. Lets not forget the many group dungeons, vDSA and such done every week.

ESO has 6 competitive group PvE leaderboards and each class is designed to provide buffs to other classes. Lets not forget that most heals heal allies and there would be no reason for such skills if the game was mostly a solo game.

Yes, I know many enjoy going solo only and those heavy into group PvE and PvP also do solo work but that is beside the point. I believe every successful MMO has plenty of solo content.

Oh, given the off nature of the statement I figured no point to vote.

My warden preforms better solo than my full BSW mag DK(the DK has better single target damage, but my Warden has better resource sustain, survivial and AoE). So it being a "jack of all trades" does not hurt me in solo gameplay.

It does not have high DPS yet, but it can burst down enemies very fast and has better DPS than any of my other characters had at that point in their existance.

And for grouo content I am a healer so it doesn't impare me there either.

I can't vote because I believe the premise is faulty.

And I'm a solo player so that isn't the reason.

Not sure what is the point here. You might make same thread for each non sorc class, when it comes down to dps, and there still would be no point at all. Warden was designed to be support class, yet sWar has nice burst for PvP. mWar is more like tank/healer hybrid and that is ok. It is interesting class to play, with a lot benefit to the group. I find that Warden is in better position than some other classes atm, and if it was even better ppl would QQ its P2W.
