• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Massive hidden nerf to Stamina Wardens that people need to see

i still hope since we are still in iteration process that ZOS will revert their decision on this if the topic gets enough traction and enough push! BELIEVE

They really need to stop trying to balance pve and pvp...they will just massively limit the diversity of their game because they can only adhere to the one or to the other - simply start implementing a different rule set

Looks like nothing in the 3.0.6 patch notes :/

This change is part of the Warden changes that were released today. They are only being talked about on the PTS Morrowind forums for some reason, but it's really worth mentioning here since so many of you that were planning on making a Stamina Warden today are going to be extremely disappointed.
    • Piercing Cold now increases damage to all Magic and Cold damage abilities instead of Physical and Frost damage abilities.

This is one of the nastiest launch day changes I have seen. The fact that it is borderline hidden from the community only makes it worse. Zenimax, I would really like to see these changes reverted and hope you can find ways to help Magika Warden without completely butchering Stamina Warden.

Where are you seeing these patch notes about Warden changes? Only patch notes I've seen have made no mention of Wardens

    Should be either:

Frost / Poison -or- Magic / Physical

Honestly if they made it just Frost I would have been fine with it, it is called piercing cold after all. But both Frost and magic in one passive is just tilted and unsatisfying.

They are on the Morrowind PTS Closed Beta forum. I guess they are trying to hide them?

Bro once you played this game for long enough you realize that ZoS never reverts anything no matter how much people complain about it. We can't even get a single developer comment about this or the lack of effects on stamina morphs.

Why is everyone upset or surprised at this last minute action?

We live in the "everyone gets a trophy" age and ZOS has long demonstrated that they intend to pull any advantage down in the name of "BALANCE".

Keep subbing your account, keep buying useless cosmetics in the store and by all means keep complaining about it on these forums.............The ZOS stockholders love you all!

I think a lot of us stopped doing things like subbing a long time ago.

You know what the stockholders would love? A class that was enticing to play and functioned well so that Morrowind was a more appealing DLC.

That's the obvious choice. Though if they wanted to do some weird stuff like poison or disease increase, even that would be fine. Just make it do something so it doesn't just feel like "I wish I was a Stam Sorc instead".

Uhm.. even with the passive Stam Warden still got outparsed badly by Stam DK and Stam Sorc.

Don't even get me started with comparisons to magika classes. So I am really not sure what "balance" you're referring too.

Damn, sad to see no Warden changes in today's notes. Guess Mag Warden will just be a shittier Mag Sorc and Stam Warden will just be a shittier Stam Sorc forever.

This change needs to be undone. There is too many passives on Stamina Warden that are completely useless compared to other classes like StamSorc. Piercing Cold should be changed back to Physical and Frost Damage and then look for other ways to buff MagWarden.

Agreed. There are so many better ways that they could have buffed Mag Warden without nerfing Stam Warden in the process.
