Your Characters - How has the patch affected them?

Which of your characters (with rough spec is possible) have been most affected by the latest patch? was it made better or worse?
Which was affect least (with rough spec is possible)

For me, the most affected Character is my Tank. He's a Nightblade hybrid tank. On one bar, I have 1h charge, twin slashes, absorb magic, sap essence, siphoning attacks. 2nd bar has refreshing path, ransack, absorb magic, vigor, siphoning attacks. stats 24 points in HP, rest stam.

For PvE, Since the patch, he is much worse, but still playable. Often I find I only get the chance to taunt, block, absorb a bit, (in groups/pledges), the rest of the time is spent micromanaging stamina with clunky heavy attacks. Compared to the dynamic play that existed before the patch, tanking has become formulaic, dull, and repetitive, I doubt I'll be doing much tanking. I liked tanking before the patch, even with weak groups, whereas now, I'm not as willing to carry and teach newer players through pledges.
For PvP he was never all that good, used different skills to be a support, lay down hazards, and present a target that can take hits. Low AP rewards, but fun. Now he's even less effective, and not able to support others with hazards / buffs as resources needed for survival. Lower AP rewards, less fun.

For PvE, My Aoe lightning vampire sorc is least affected, only needing to wait a few seconds after tougher combats while bars fill. Doesn't run out of mag in combat, kills things before that. Basic tactic is talon to pin, use AOEs, forcepulse a couple of time, then lighting strike to finish. If she gets closed on, uses port, then mines.
For PvP, same skills, not much less effective in PvP, sustain is a bit lower, but other than that, as before.

Well I only have once character and that is my Dragonknight tank. The only thing I need to do is replace two Weapon/Spell damage jewelry gliphs with Magicka regin and it's pretty much back to where it was. Granted I will lose out on some DPS, but as a support build for PvP it won't effect me that much.

To give you an idea of the support build: I use skills that: Buffs the group, CCs, and AoE/DoT flame skills to put constant damage onto large enemy groups.

My Magicka Tanks, Templar and Nightblade, have turned into crap but otherwise everything else can compensate the difference in cost reduction and lower resource recovery. I had to swap some defensive moves like Restoring Focus and Repentance for more Magicka recovery as they are OOM more often than before. It's not easy relying one-hand and shield melee weapon swings to recover Magicka as they're not nearly as effective as Staves and I hate Ice Staff tanking. I have to spam less often thus lowering my damage contribution, but at least I'm not running out of Magicka making me completely useless.

My characters' builds are unaffected but my playstyle has to change to compensate for the reduction in sustain as I already adjusted them for no-CP environment.
Being a hybrid also helps a ton.

Wouldn't know. Every time I log, I have to pass 5 Error:200's before being able to play, then I get kicked whenever I have a loading screen.

My stamplar is unchanged. But so far he's the only one I've done anything besides starting to level my magward tank. I don't think my magplar will be too badly damaged.

Yea, my nightblade tank got hit on every level. Still can do vet pledges with a good group, just it's not fun now. I was ok about carrying low levels, and doing pugs before the changes. Not pugging with things the way they are.

My Templar healer is just as good as before, sorc the same. But my stam sorc ranger took a hit. And my offheal offdps support weird spec NB has become unplayable solo, still decent in groups.

Since they've made NB tanking dull, what class is fun to tank on? ie, what class do you get to do more than just taunts, mitigate/dodge with?

Not much difference for my mag Sorc and mag Templar; in fact my Templar seems even better randomly. And can still solo quite a bit with my Sorc even without pets so... yeah.

But pretty worried about my Stam NB when the patch hits the PS4 version...

I believe I need to sacrifice some spell damage runes for magicka regen. My magicka now get drained much faster even when I face a simple enemy.

All my characters have dropped by several thousands of DPS, on average about 4.5k with the 5 different dps characters I usually play. Further, all my stam builds have been hit the hardest, but it does seem that DK has it easier now because of their Battle Roar, at least in my case. I didn't have to make any major adjustments to have my characters be functional in group play, since heavy attack weaving makes up for the lack of sustain pretty well, the only thing is that the joy of the combat and perfecting my rotations has been completely robbed. I'm not really sure what the overall aim of the sustain changes were, except maybe kill the fun so that vain creators could have their way.

Having done the new trial, it is also very clear that content is being made to cater the gameplay that ZOS wants us to play, with phases focused on action and phases focused on regen, but I can't say it's all that fun. Sure the new trial is okay, but in about a month all the possible progression to be had in it will be gone, and the endgame community will likely become bored out of their skulls.

I do think the battlegrounds are a step in the right direction for PvP, especially for someone like me who loathes Cyrodiil and its unbalanced zerg wars, but ZOS has of course managed to screw that up as well, after their "hotfix" to solve the problems with the group queue.

All in all I think that this update is a big disappointment across the board, and the touted "chapter" it was meant to be is an audacious lie. I think Morrowind marks a huge step in the wrong direction, a direction that completely departs from their previous philosophy of listening to their audience. As it is with all things in life, the good things never last, this applies to virtual worlds too it would seem..

Playing a magic sorc now since that is the only class that is semi fun to play atm.

Slightly less damage on my dps specs but sustain is okay. Had to change a glyph to cost reduction and change food to purple event foods. Not a huge deal. Always room to fine tune things to make even better either by player or by Zos.

No change for me. I only do solo/cooperative PvE with multiple characters across all classes and stamina/magicka/hybrid non-specific builds (by which I mean I develop my own characters and don't follow anyone else's) between a 170CPs templar and a new warden (on my second account with no CPs), with no change noticed in the their progress.

I retracted all skill points, (ZOS retracted CP points) and no longer play my previous 7 characters.
Now using them to hold Trial Armor / Weapon sets, Monsters sets, and other unique items.

My Master Crafter gets first dibs on all new motifs, furniture and food recipes.

Created a Warden leveling that now, really hate having to grind all over for a 8th time to get character to level.

Based on future nerfs, I may start playing the old characters someday.

I'm a stamblade(PVE) and im doing really well after patch, I have a good damage against the skelly and my AOE DPS is better thx to change to cp and caltrops... Good enough I will say. My raid leader is arguing against me for the vHoF, but I'm really sure I can do it.
For the sustain just adjust ur rotation guys.

my stamblade is actualy doing MUCH better. prior to patch I was this close to switching mains. after the patch? she hits MUCH harder then she used to and I'm genuinely enjoying playing her. my magika sorc on the other hand, lost a lot of her sustain, but that can be fixed with switching around some gear. everyone else I've only been playing more off then on and they honestly don't feel all that different. they are also not at max level, so there's that

My gear and abilities remain unchanged (partly because I can't be bothered to get or learn anything new). That said, I haven't got a reason to change them. I swapped out a spell dam glyph for a mag reco (probably will swap that to cost reduc), I use the witchmother's brew all the time now compared to a mag/hp blue food and I just HA more. Okay I'm a little more squishy for the less HP and I run out of magicka faster but adapting wasn't difficult for me.

    Mag Sorc for reference.

I notice a lot of the nightblades saying it hasn't changed much seem to be DPS.
As far as I can gather, DPS stam builds aren't as affected as tank stam builds. Mag based build also largely unaffected.

any other nightblade hybrid tanks out there?

Templar: Same equipment, same skills for the most part, I've just had to reduce my maximum magicka (41,000 to around 38,000) in favour of some more regeneration (750 to around 1200). I've lost about 20% dps (24,000 dps to 20,000) and about 25% healing (4000 hps to 3000 per character) with my hybrid healing/damage 'build'.

My templar healer is pure spec, I only play her grouped, found her to be just as good as before, but then her main way of doing damage is heavy attacks, and buffs further increase her resource gains.

My tank got hit. Not hard enough to be crippled, but definately hard enough to where it's alot less fun.

Before the patch I could sustain myself indefinately and play support healer. Something that made my friends and myself very happy. Something that I was good at. I could sustain a team all by myself and I was happy to do it. It made people wanna run with me over the standard DK tank setup.

Now...there's alot less of that. And it feels alot more boring. So I've likely just hung up the hat. I thought that the only thing that would get me to quit was the complete destruction of my build, but now it seems like what was fun was supporting my team as more than a meatsack.

    I solo PvE almost exclusively.

I have noticed almost no difference at all with ONE notable exception:

My Stamblade ran out of stamina during the fight with Barbus. Still killed him, but had to pop a potion mid fight which almost never happened before the change.

Still playing around with the "sweet spot" for my CP, but all in all, I see very little change.

Oh yes, whilst a reduction, Templars are still fine for all content, especially healing. The changes are mainly due to the loss of 100% up time of Major Mending + reduction of basic stats. But it's not the end of the world. The healing provided by my character for the group is only by Purifying Light and Ritual of Retribution; both that provide damage also and both that I try to keep active for the entirety of a battle.

Of course it's early days yet still since the shift in the mundus too. Over time we'll improve more as we get use to the changes.
