How to copy characters from live to PTS?
Is there a way that I can copy my current characters over to the test server? Someone told me it was possible and you get tons of items you can try on and experiment with to see if you like them and if they're worth farming for. They also mentions you can boost the characters up in levels to see how they'll do in end game situations. Thanks for any help in advance.

✭✭✭✭✭You got misleading information.
We cannot copy our characters to PTS. Zenimax does it on every PTS cycle, they usually start with NA characters which NA players can play with for 2 or 3 weeks, then those characters are wiped and EU characters are copied.
I think EU characters are still on the PTS right now (the copy should be one month old or something) so if you're on EU you can play with them. If you're on NA there's no way you can play your own characters on PTS.
That said, PTS offers templates characters (ready-made CP600 veteran characters) and you can test stuff with them since they come with some sets ready in inventory.

I see what's happened now I did have these guys on pts and they wiped them off for the EU people to have access to their copied characters on that pts. So now if I wanted to get a copy I just have to wait till they swap them back out again. Thanks for the info.
