If they are making millions of $'s which they are, then it would seem that they have a sound business plan... they know that they have players with disposable income, why sell cheap just to sell a lot when you can sell expensively so that those with disposable income and vanity issues can be made to feel exclusive?.

Yep, I'm sure that marketing has a nice graph of price vs. sales sitting around, and when/if that graph curve becomes too low, they'll make changes. If it doesn't, then they'll keep going as is. /shrug
Again, it's a cosmetic item. I've no issue with silly prices for those, whether it's a pair of "pre-ripped" jeans or a flaming mount in a game. (I mean, I may certainly think it's dumb - especially paying extra for ripped pants, seriously? Ugh. But I don't object to their existance, or get upset about the price. Shrug my shoulders, don't buy it, and move on.)3 -

Insandros✭✭✭✭Holy christ.... i haven't been whining at Morrowind price, i even was totaly for it, i never whined about the nerfs or anything in regards of last patch, i even don't whine when there is bugs or anything, i never whine for extended time maintenance.. but now, is the first time i whine about ZoS.... i've been waiting for this mount ever since they post the upcoming sell a while ago on their website, i was so exited for may 25, i even logged 4-5 times this morning to know when it gets available... i was expecting a 1500-1700 crown as the otehr mount... i was exited to get it, because since i got back int he game in january it's the first cool one i can get that fits my toons, i bought the Nightmare Horse back then and all my toons i make them Vampire, necromancer style, so there is a few ugly, scary mount in this game, even though we are freaking fighting zombies and Daedra ll over the damn realm.... and i never had the chance to get the zombie horse or the other special... but did i get a freaking surpris when i logged and seen the price? Absurd, i didn't wanted to buy Morrowind expansion that came with the mount cause i was planning to get this one, so i bought $40 morrowind.. well i whould have bought it, of course i can wait for next month crown for eso plus, but that will get me to 3k still missing some and it might be over, or worste, i can wait to get a new job and have the money for it, but wait, it'll be off anyways and it wil be replace with a damn sweet angel looking mount
I'm really sad... sorry for the long text, but i'm really disapointed so now the damn mount cost the same price in crowns as Morrowind costed me... well this is my first time i spit on ZoS but yeah. It's even more expensive than lost of house that you buyg already with furniture... i never mostly swear on forums, but here is my first time.. *** 3 -

No, that was 4000. You totally beat me to it.
Set aside crown store sales, DLC sales, subscription, and everything else. Mat Firor reportedlt said that ESO has 8.5M players.
Let's assume that ESO has at least 1M players that bought the Morrowind DLC. I think Steam had the cheapest price at $40, let's say everyone paid that much.
So, $40M for a single xpac, which in reality probably exceeded $100M.

I still use that brown one that cost 10k gold, not crowns. I will save my crowns for houses which are much better IMO than some mount. Mounts all do the same thing so its never been a big deal to me what I am riding. Explains why I drive a 2009 Ford Fusion

but I come from a place where ESO is my only hobby that directly costs money-so other than monthly necessities, I don't buy anything and have no other subscriptions. This is as much as morrowind costed me and it is ridiculous. Is this mount meant to be for subs who get monthly crowns or what? I have purchased a lot of crowns in the past to support this game but this is just too much.
Either way I have decided not to support with crown purchases further, If ZOS wants to overcharge that's their right after all its their game but as a customer I can just stop purchasing crowns.
