Not sure which direction to take my Warden

Firstly, i'm still relatively new to the game (about 2 months I think) so i'm still getting to grips with the mechanics.

I have around 170 CP points and my warden is currently only level 8 so i've not yet experienced all the skills available. I would like her to be a damage dealer as that is my preferred play style, has anyone any tips on how to do this best? Layman's terms please lol.

I am getting the impression Warden is best suited for healing, but i've never enjoyed playing healers in MMO's. What is so good about it here for a warden? Is it possible to play a damage dealer who switches to healing when needed and still be effective enough at both?

If it matters, i'm not interested in PVP but in PVE and group content. Any tips gratefully appreciated :)

You can look at Alcasthq for various guides on how an endgame warden build might look like.
But my best advice is: Just play what you consider fun and explore all the skills!

Wardens make good healers as they have their own hots and strong heals and are thus less dependant on the resto staff.
Most healers will have a destro staff on their backbar to support their group with ele drain and deal a bit of damage with blockade etc.
But keep in mind when you join a group as a healer, people will expect you to fill this role and only deal damage when healing isn't needed.
There is no big niche for a dps with a bit of healing, even though as a magicka toon you obviously have similar stats and could do it, it isn't needed or expected in dungeon groups.

    That's great advice thanks :)

I will stick to dps then and continue having fun! I'll also check out Alcasthq for some pointers :)
