BUG: Fight with Naryu in Morrowind tutorial is bugged

Just tried to do the tutorial today. At the spot where you're supposed to hit Naryu with your bare fists, she stays dazed forever after you punch her once.

Make sure you're doing a heavy attack when you're hitting Naryu (as cruel as that sounds).

I was doing light attacks. I kept hitting her and hitting her, and she stayed dazed. I just exited the game completely then went back, and the quest resumed as normal.

hi i have this problem also its because i equipped a resto staff and resto heavy doesnt count. i tried crashing the game and logging back in but it puts me immediately into combat so i cant take the resto off. i really dont want to delete and remake the character as i gave her a bunch of lvl 1 purple gear. please fix this!

I've had the same problem, was a little too eager to level different skill trees on my newly created Warden. I had a friend send me a Level 1 Restoration Staff which I equipped right away, and the fight with Naryu bugged out because the heavy attacks would not count.
Because relogging put me right into combat again, I ended up deleting and recreating that character because nothing else helped.

I had the same thing happen. How I got out of it, was holding the LMB down for two seconds and smack her good, knocking her down. That did the trick.
