It's as worthless as the Imperial Edition upgrade.

We've been telling them this since Morrowind beta regarding Morag Tong and we've been telling them this about the whole ability (Imperial) since game launch.

If they want this to actually be a worthwhile perk they need to let it work on all items. Considering the way costumes work then set looks don't matter any more.

All you have to do to wear it is have the worst possible gear, what's the problem?

This would have been a far simpler way of doing it. Although it would probably require 3 costumes (light, medium and heavy) however this would also limit it only to C160 styles.

I can understand they don't want monster helms, maelstrom staves etc. to be altered, but I can't see why standard gear sets can't be altered with these. If a non-set item can (and even some sets) surely this is just a database value which can be changed on standard sets without special appearances?

Not all crafted gear is the worst though. Not all dropped sets are BiS.

Julianos, Hunding's Rage, Night Mothers, Nights Silence, Magnus' Gift, Kagrenacs Hope are all very usable.

Personally, I only use crafted pieces. Its even been proved that Monster Sets are no longer a requirement. I am very fussy about how my character looks, and will not compromise that.

So you min/max for cosmetics. Gl with that.

I never understood why you cant convert all items except unique items like 2pc monster or vMA or vDSA items.

I sort of get why drop sets can't be altered. That look is part of the whole idea behind the set. But this conversion then is right on the border of pointless and probably should have just been three costumes (god knows you guys paid enough for that). Am I wrong or isn't this also in the game as a motif so crafted gear doesn't need to be converted. Even more pointless. But I do understand why set pieces can't be converted. Of course this would all be moot if crafted gear was on par with dropped gear. Or you could at least create gear that replicates dropped gear. I'd still like a method to change the look of gear and not just how it looks at the top but maybe have looks like some of the gear we saw leveling up again. Appearance tab so they can stop with these gimmicks.

I wish this feature would work with ALL learned styles.
