VMA Drops Not Getting at All Sharpen, Precise and Nirnhooned @ PS4 NA (Yes Another Thread)

What is going on with VMA drops? with last 22 drops zero (0) sharpen, Precise or Nirnhooned

Why i am keep getting Charged, Decisive, Powered and Defending?

I open a ticket with customer service and told them having 12 Charged weapons in a row and they replied RNG is shining and you are getting same trait and said we can not help as its RNG.

You have to spend more time to have what you wanted.

Soo RNG has become such a mess that I wanted to quit ESO now, running everyday 2-3 times and getting some NON DPS traits on DPS weapon is like getting slaps everyday!

@ZOS_GinaBruno , Kindly check my account and lift RNG curse so I can have something good. Yes it is frustrating, why 9 traits can not drop in a sequence?

Why I have repetitive same traits?

Why do you want me and many other players to also quit ESO in frustation?

I have almost everything in this game but not Lighting Sharpen staff and now I am not getting any sharpen at all.

    It's called RNG. 22 drops is nowhere near a big enough sample size to draw any conclusions. Trust me, I'm a statistician.

    EDIT: (I do want to add that I feel your pain though, RNG hates me too. I am known as the Queen of Prosperous, you're not alone in your woe :( )

    Seriously, as a statistician, I can say that you'd need to have run it 10 thousand times without any of those drops to convince me that there was anything nefarious going on... or collect data from several hundred people running it daily over several months. Just sounds like you got the *ahem* "messy" end of the stick wrt RNG - which sucks, I know it does

    Just got another defending 1h sword and board,

    What a mess this RNG is!

    Feeling betrayed, 23 drops in a row (charge, powered, sefending, desesive) and no sharpen, precise or Nirn.

    What a mess!

    Rng doesnt mean u have a same chance of each peice .

    Rng stands for random number generator ( if you didnt know ) and that means its random everytime so you can do 200 runs without gettint a sharpened one hand dagger like me :(

    I did ovee 120 vma runs 0 sharpenee dagger and i barely got my 1hand axe sharpened

    @Lord_Dexter Ok, I'm bored. Let's do a very basic example of basic probability.

    Let us assume that the 22 traits each have equal probability of dropping in the run (ignoring weapon type, etc.). That means each trait has roughly a 5% chance of dropping per run. Now, again assuming basic independence, that means you have a 15% chance of acquiring one of the traits that you want and an 85% chance of not aqcuiring said traits.

    23 runs with 85% probability of no traits yields 0.85^23 = or a 2% total chance of not having a desired trait drop. And that's before we take into account weapon types.

    Disclaimer to all the ESO mechanics gurus: it's a very basic example with very basic probability meant to be illustrative not completely accurate.

    You know, you can randomly get the same drop infinite times in a row right? Random means anything is possible, no matter how unlikely.

    Just like that "100 monkeys given enough time will randomly type Shakespeare" is wrong, because they can randomly cause repeated errors. Like pie, never a pattern but always a number

    Got precise maul today. RNG is terrible, but you mustn't admit it. Once you admit it, your runs are screwed.

    150+?? it took me 1 year to get a sharpened inferno staff I did 400+ runs and it took even longer to get every weapon in there with all the best traits I personally found I had a better chance of getting a better weapon drop from the weekly tbh so even after running VMA multiple times a day it almost always came down to the weekly where I found most of my better drops came from

    Got two inferno sharps in a row in weekly rewards :smiley: so I can agree on that
