Rollback on my quests.

I finished the main quest before the server shut down. I have the screenshots to prove it.

I reclaimed my soul and molar bal's "ghost" was giving me a monologue

Now I log in and I have to do it all over again as if I just arrived in Heart Grief and did nothing.

Listen Zos...... leave me alone I mean I know I'm a masochist for playing a tank magnb but I'm safewording out of this torture lol

If you're at the point where he's giving you the monologue in Meridia's realm, then you have not finished the quest... finishing the quest would have you sent back to Coldharbour.

Before the shut down I had

already collected my soul. Now I'm all the way back to before anyone was sacrificed.

There were a few stopping points in between. None of them registered? Now I have to try and complete this with even less damage than I had before on the new trashblade class.

I know most people think that fight was "too easy" and anticlimactic but I really struggled to make damage with my tank build before the update and I just dread doing it again.

Unfortunately that's how quest instances work. If you log off for more than 15 minutes while in a quest instance, when you next log in you'll be outside the instance and will therefore have to do all quest steps that were inside the instance again.

Yeah, sorry to say you didn't finish the quest. I'd seriously suggest checking the forums on a daily basis if you don't already to keep an eye on planned maintenance. I mean if the power or internet goes out over half a continent or something then that is a different matter, but that banner announcement about maintenance was up there for at least 6 hours before the servers were taken offline this evening - bookmark the forums and check regularly.

I totally agree - the forum maintenance announcement was made yesterday.

@max_only Check the forums regularly and you won't be surprised by these *planned* maintenance's. It's hard to feel sorry for you given all of the advance notice.

I wasn't surprised by the maintenance, I thought I had got it done under the wire. Also I didn't post for you to feel sorry for me, I posted a "awww cmon really?" moment to chuckle at.

Thanks @Enodoc for the insightful info. I didn't know that about quest instances.
