Quests are too long between experience

If it is one thing that always bugged me about ESO, that was that long quest chains never gave rewards as you go. Oddly these smaller quest rewards as you progress through a chain would help with the carrot on a stick approach, giving the user XP SOME progression instead of wondering "when is this going to end".

In Morrowind it seems even worse. Instead of improving on this each quest is so long, you could go quite a while withing getting any XP except from kills. There are parts when you complete something and then the NPC will say "There is another matter I need you to help me with". Why not give SOME XP and some gold from the previous quest?

Personally I don't care about the XP when questing and am enjoying taking my time through new quests and new area. I kind of forgot how much fun it was having to discover everything instead of just looking on the map and running straight to it. The carrot for me is the story. It's going to take me a while to get my new character through the new content because I try to talk to every NPC, read everything I haven't read before and I have to search every building from top to bottom. I'm okay with it taking longer than normal for my new character to level than what my last few did. So far it has been fun and in the game fun is all I care about.

This is insane, been doing the Scarlet Judge quest for almost an hour, no break for a little reward. These quests are so long!

Dont get me wrong I have not had a feeling this good about an expansion since the Burning Crusade, that says a lot.

Started my warden and felt the same way so figured i would just go hit 50 before doing the morrowind questing. That way i can still earn cp get max level drops and actully have all my abilities so i can figure out what works best.

The new content is xp starved. No dark anchors or shards for extra progression. I broke it up by doing the thieves and sin quests lines some and some of the main cities quests because they have a lot of small quests within the city in the other faction areas. That helped a lot, I can't see just doing the new content by itself. Luckily it was easy to port to my apartment in Dagger and do the quests there. They must really want you to buy xp scrolls.

I just kill everything I can along the way and the XP takes care of itself.

There are skyshards. I've found four of them so far and suspect I ran past a couple. I'll eventually get them though. I'm basically treating the new area like a new game. I rolled a new character and I am going to do everything I can in zone before he leaves to do something else. Other than some gold to buy inventory space I haven't let him benefit from any of my other characters. He has to wear the armor he finds and any foods or potions he uses he has found. Aside from the quests there is some really amazing scenery to enjoy. Found a couple of spots in a delve that were semi hidden were surprising to see and looked really cool.

I'm having a blast. Will probably hop on my other characters tomorrow and do some stuff with them, but they aren't going to go to the new area until I finish it on my Warden. One exception, our guild is going to try a trial there Friday night.

And yeah that scarlet judge quest is a long one. I am in the middle of another long one as well, made even longer as I got sidetracked by the public dungeon as I was running by.

Considering most of the games quests are "go to this area full of monsters you'll have to slug through" I think that's the XP between quest hand ins.

This is a general issue with the game, they were trying to be skyrim too much here.

If you ask me, quests should be different. Some are long, some are short. Rewards are ok. Also, quest you mentioned gave you a costume at the end. I think that is fair reward. Also, if u actually have read what quest is all about, you might like it.

This is why one should equip TRAINING trait gear while leveling. Of course for new players it might not seem that simple, for vet players, I have a full set of Purple Training gear from Level 1 to 50, separate sets for both Magicka and Stamina... change armor every 10 levels... 1, 6, 10, 20, 30, 40. They give tons of XP with kills and combine that with XP Scrolls and you level extremely quick without relying solely on end-of-quest returns.

Yeah they are rather long. What takes up the space of one quest here would have been two or three, maybe even four, in one of the base game zones, and you still only get the standard amount of XP for it. The Scarlet Judge could easily have been two or three, one of Vivec's quests should definitely have been two, and there's probably some others that I can't remember now.

Exactly; however, my difference is armor is 4,10,20,30,40 and weapons is 4,10,14 (for backbar at 15), 20,30,40. Agreed purple with 10% bonus xp on everything along with xp scrolls...kills add up quick.

At least the Scarlett Judge quest gives a unique reward at the end. Kind of like finishing the long achievement in Wrothgar.

Well all honesty before eso and skyrim quests took long time to complete and were actually quests rather than running errands in a convenience store
