Wednesday Maintenance, Is Mid-Week Maintenance Usual?

Can't say I'm an old player, started last year, nor have I been avidly following the dates for each maintenance. But does Mid-week Maintenance occur often? I'm gonna assume it's likely because of issues related to the release of Morrowind, and the gigantic surge of traffic that may have brought many more issues to light. So, props to them on fixing issues on a shorter time-frame if that is the case.

Good. Glad they're getting the stress test out on the PC before having to deal with the ***-show that is pushing updates to consoles. Can't say that I enjoy that, but, least they're working on things.

Has been some bugs reported, like clanfear don't regen health. Various quest bugs and battleground queuing.
Stuff who have huge impact but is easy to fix so they do an quick fix.

my shortcut on start menu says "The Elder Scrolls Online Beta", its pretty accurate :)

We used to have maintenance twice a week back when the game first launched in 2014. Over time it became once a week, and then even less frequent as we have it these days.

I for one am glad ZOS is actively trying to address problems sooner rather than later with Morrowind. Believe it or not, the game is much better than it was at the beginning of closed beta. Props to all of the testers and to ZOS for getting us to this point. :)

Mid-week maintenance after a major content upgrade is 100% the norm.

There's a lot of stuff that simply doesn't rear its head until it makes it to Live. Internal testing and PTS can only simulate so much. The stresses of having this many people come at it from this many different ways is when the bugs really show up.

It's normal and, for anyone who's been playing ESO for a while, expected.

This, one thing after launch was quest who broke then many tried to do it at once, this can not be tested on PTS.

It's not usual to have maintenance any day except Tuesday. But it's completely normal to have lots of unscheduled maintenance after a major update. I don't entirely understand why but even just moving the build from the test server to the live server can introduce bugs.

And it's not just games that do that. There was a fun one with a database we use at my work - it was tested thoroughly by all the end users, on the PCs we normally use. Literally all we did was move it to a different location on the server and it picked up a bug where clicking the empty space beside a button triggered a pop-up asking if you wanted to save and if you clicked yes the whole program crashed. We never could work out why that happened.

Oh, was that a bug? I thought that was normal, when I saw that on the PTS. Used a healing spell on the poor thing to up his health every time. It's been some years since I last played as a sorcerer. For all I knew they nerfed it that way.
