I can understand that some like it. I am just asking the possibility to disable it.DemonNinja wrote: »I 100000000000000000% disagree. I find the elegant and that they make the gameplay and transitions feel smooth.
in film language a dissolve represents a passage of time or place- to put it as a transition between a beautiful morrowind concept art- and a character selection screen makes no sense- there isnconnection in any level, aesthetic, or narrative. you dissolve between two elements that are connected, for example a concept artwork of morrowind- then dissolve to our character in morrowind.
I'll have to log in later when my download finishes and see what you're referring to. I don't remember seeing any odd transitions on PTS.
as a professional film editor and someone with eyes i find these new dissolve transitions offensive. they are flat out dated and ugly. please give us the option to disable the transitions and revert to the old way of loading screens. having a dissolve between pages does not work. in film language a dissolve represents a passage of time or place- to put it as a transition between a beautiful morrowind concept art- and a character selection screen makes no sense- there isnconnection in any level, aesthetic, or narrative. you dissolve between two elements that are connected, for example a concept artwork of morrowind- then dissolve to our character in morrowind.
someone who knows what they are doing would do a straight cut- as it was, or a fade to black and a fade back out. sorry to be a pompous *** on this ***- but its straight up jarring to people with taste , an understanding of visual language and symbiotic, and anyone with two eyes in their head.
