So PVE DPS was dominated by Sharp for ages.. Now that morrowind is out does precise or Nirn have a place on a PVE DPS? Orrrr is it just sharp like always being the clear and obvious winner?

Nirnhoned needs to be buffed by 100%, at least. Ridiculous that the most expensive trait in the game is so weak.

For stamina setups, Infused on your DW main hand, sharpened offhand and backbar IF you have a vMA bow backbar.

They don't need new traits. That would just tempt ZOS to make the new trait BIS then put it behind a paywall.

They need to fix the traits that they have so that Sharpened, Nirnhoned, and Precises, the damage dealing traits, do roughly the same amount of damage.

They need to improve Nirn and Precise to bring them in line with Sharp. But Sharp must stay the best to not anger tons of people.

What they need to do is to improve Nirn and Precise to level at which Sharpened is only marginally better. Now it's truly better by a solid margin and is completely mandatory.

Let's say, just an example, Sharpened should increase your damage by 0,2% more than Nirn and Precise. That way all three traits would be viable and sharpened would still be the best among these three.

In other words, Sharpened should matter only for total min-maxing.

They need to bring them all to a point where they are different options.

Sharpened means you can skip the CP in penetration and spend in damage, damage (nirn) means you can skip damage CP and spend in penetration etc.

So that finding a weapon other than sharpened isn't "well this is useless" but "Oh, I can get where I want but just a different way to someone else"

Yep. It's ridiculous that every maelstrom staff except sharpened is less dps effective, at least in front bar, than a casual non-set sharpened staff.

We need at least three equally viable traits for dps, not just one. Something like a trait being slightly better in a specific situation and another trait in another one.

We should do the maths, but I think nirnhoned should give +11% on FINAL weapon/spell damage, or +25% on the weapon damage of that weapon only (so, roughly +330 for a staff). And precise should give something like +7% critical chance AND + 7% critical damage.

This would be true if there weren't huge dead spots at the end of most of the CP trees, like 76-99cp does nothing in most of the trees, so it pays to just spread the CP out any ways.

In my opinion ZOS should simply rework all those traits that are almost useless now... (Prosperous, Training and even Nirnhoned)

Everybody seems only to use Impenetrable, Divines or Infused....
Same goes for weapon traits... everybody seems only to use Precise or Sharpened....

LOL, the OP is asking if there is a new trait that is now considered to be the best choice. There was no mention of creating new traits to add to the game.

Infused is good . Precise is ok as well . Reason being since CP is nerfed , you don't have to spend like 100 points into Elemental Expert . You can spend some in Penetration CP and change your weapon trait . If you are using double MSA , you should go both precise . Infused is more of a 4th piece Moondancer staff trait for buffing the Weapon/Spell Damage enchant .

For stamina builds , read comment #4 .

^^this^^ & sustain is what i thought this patch would be about, i have to be honest im flaberghasted that sharpened is still the clear winner!
