1 free respec each day? Sure, today I'll build to gather resources faster, tomorrow I'll be treasure hunting so I need to find better weapons, ...
Try to pick a build that you can use for a week or take a build and stick with it. 3k per week for a whole month = 12K.
Would you rather have the game charge you 500 gold per invested champion point as well?
Why are you doing it once a day? The only reason for this I can see is if you're switching from PvP to vMA or vet trials every other day.

On my magicka nightblade I can theoretically both tank, heal, and dps in pledges without respeccing either attributes or skills and only slotting different skills and putting on different gear. This is one of the coolest thing about this game.
The only thing hindering this awesome game design is the allocation of champion points, so now I have my magblade set up for tanking, my sorc set up for dps and am setting my warden up for healing which will save me a ton of money in the long run but is a bit of a shame since the game it self almost lets me do it all on one char.

Well, perhaps you can do all three without respec but definitely not at the potential you should bring to a group. Most normal dungeons sure, but vet dungeons and trials and pvp need to be specific specs.
I'm not against it, and I really like Jitterbug's idea.I'm kind of confused about why some people seem to be against this or arguin lol. If you don't use it then don't, but for those of us that do run the same toon for very different uses it would be really nice.

I like to do pvp and pve in the same day. My kin problem is I leveled 2 Stam DKs in he beginning and now need to respect one to mag. But even on my stam sorc I need to level undaunted and I sti want to main him as a dps.
Little costs to minor stuff are there so the company makes us sink gold, preventing inflation.
No matter what you do in the game, your CP shouldn't be changed so many times that the 3k cost should be removed, so I'm kinda strongly against this one.
I think saved presets is the way to go. Let's say 3 different ones. And then put a 1k gold cost on changing between your presets or something if you are that in love with having sinks. Or maybe a 10k gold cost to unlock the preset and then it's free forever.
I think you better use 2 characters and switch between them. This character for PvP, the other for Group dungeons. And if you want to switch it up, you can respec them for once.
Though I can see this being put as a Subscriber feature, or half cost on respecs.

Why would it be required to have 2 of the exact same characters, except for champion points and current slotted skills/equipped gear, just to get the full potential out of your character? How eso is currently set up, it does not make any sense to have multiple of the same class+stam/mag characters, since so much time is spent leveling up skill lines/mounts/crafting research/motives/achievements. Having an easy way to switch out champion point setups, would allow for people who enjoy multiple aspects of eso, to be able to effectively play these aspects (after all, who would want a tank with pvp champion points spent, or a battleground with only tank specced characters as teammates)

@timb16_ESO85 while I get where you're coming from there, you can split the difference for 2 roles, I believe.timb16_ESO85 wrote: »Merlin13KAGL wrote: »3k is cheap. Go check the cost to respec attributes or skills and you'll feel a whole lot better about having to spennd 3k.
3k is cheap, reclicking for all the 630 cp each time you switch from pve tank to pvp damage dealer is time consuming. Furthermore, you have enough skill points to have multiple skill sets and switch them out easily, without a cost. You don't have enough champion points to fill out all that is usefull for one role, let alone 2 or 3 roles.

Nobody wants to level 2 identical characters, get Undaunted and MG etc just to play different roles, that's so long winded.

You don't need the exact same character, but you can say this Khajiit Stamblade I use for Cyrodiil PvP, this DK tank for group dungeons, ...
Look the presets are a good thing, but for a greedy person like my, I want to get something that's perfect for me in a long run. If I want to switch "gamemodes" (group dungeons, pvp, mat farming, ...), then I switch to another character. If you want to do it all on one character, that's fine, but you pay the price if you switch.
I don't mind if a preset thing gets added, but like I said, be happy that it's only 3K to reset. It's only as expensive as you make it.

Throw Alchemy, Provisioning, and possibly enchanting on an alt and you probably have your 20 points.PS4_ZeColmeia wrote: »Why are you doing it once a day? The only reason for this I can see is if you're switching from PvP to vMA or vet trials every other day.

I don't have to respec every at all but I have 314 skill points. I need 20 more though since crafting takes so much points. I think it's easier doing hybrid magblade than just magblade though.
