World/Region First completions only mean anything with a level playing field.

Not saying they shouldn't make content accessible for testing, but as a community, let's ALSO recognize World/Region Firsts from guilds on the same platform and who could access the content only from launch day forwards. Maybe as a separate category of Firsts.

"World first completion", doesn't mean anything in the first place. It's not like you actually achieved anything meaningful, or won something.

Most humans still crave validation. It is rooted in a primal, competition-driven comparative valuation born of generations of exclusivity and strife over limited resources and power in the absence of better alternatives (technologically, intellectually, and spiritually).

Even in an era of plenty that NEED for exclusivity and value by comparison still clings to our better nature.

I find it is best to just silently allow people to have their moment to strut about and gain the attention they seek rather than frustrate yourself trying to change what is for most, HUMAN NATURE.

Perhaps when we are more evolved as a species we will learn How to Let Go of the Need for Approval to Start Thriving.

But I wouldn't hold my breath.

call it "World's First Launch Day" vs "Worlds First"

key thing is anybody who cares one whit about that will know of the setup so... not really much of a thing in my book.

I'd say Hodor deserved a world's first completion after the work they put in on the PTS and the work their members put into this community. They worked hard for it, and there's nothing wrong with posting a thread congratulating them.

Couldnt these people have just done it on the PTS and waited until day 1? Nothing like world firsts back in EQ days. Even wow eventually had the raids on PTS. But good job

Chill out. World firsts in ESO are not like other games. A majority of players don't care and will never care about world firsts in ESO. Only a few guilds really strive for these, and even then, they need to realize that ESO is not catering to this group of hardcore players.

As someone who plays on console, I get where OP is coming from but at this point we can all agree that console and PC are simply two different communities. However we in the console community shouldn't knock on the efforts of Hodor and other PC trial guilds because of Zo$ mishandling of the console community. Respect should be shown instead of trying to take away respect from players who put in a lot of effort isn't the way to go.

Most every other MMORPG, the Raids take literally weeks to get a "First Clear".

It's good moment to remind how long did it take for first vMOL clear. Not to mention vMOL hardmode.

It's not players' fauit about difficulty level on the new Trial. Vice versa - some guilds were prevented from competing on the vHOF first clear simply because not all of their members received the Closed Beta invitation. (Not that it was difficult to collect leaderboard players' data and auto-send invites.)
