I know everyone is excited to start in Vvanderfell, but at some point do yourself a favor launch the game and click credits and while you are listening to probably the best MMO soundtrack in the past ten years, take a look at the developers/writers/designers...it's like a whose who of the developers of the original Dungeons and Dragons RPG, even more than the original ESO when it first launched.

This is probably the most illustrious development team I have seen, even when I was consulting in the industry. To me it makes ESO, the only real D&D MMO out there, because we have most of the guys that created the 1st-3rd editions.

    That's not in question.

It's the abortion of balancing and gutting of three (3) full classes by Wrobel and Squad, and the nigh-complete disappearance of Sustain and Cost Reduction that make this an abortion of a patch/Update.

The storytelling, yeah; the old school D&D writers do a mighty fine job.

It's the mechanics changes that gut anything favorable about this "expansion/chapter/whatever-the-hell-it-is"...

Mechanics changes are never forever, ZoS has done no better or no worse than any other MMO developer in providing the player base what they want in that regard. I know, because I once consulted for Turbine on two MMO's and I have been playing them since EQ beta.

I also want to point out that your post is predictable. Every time anyone says anything remotely positive about this game a PAWS member shows up and grinds his axe, I guess we should be grateful, at least your members have backed off of harassing people in game just because they are riding a crate mount, or shaming them on the forums because they said something positive about crown crates.

You guys aren't consumer protectionist as you claim to be, you are forum Trolls with an agenda.

The quests in this game are the main reason why I liked it. I'll never forget the awesome Gaiden Shinji/Baloth Bloodtusk quest in Orsinium, or the cool Far Shores ending of the DC story campaign. And there's plenty more examples I could list. It's imo the only MMORPG that has actually interesting questlines.

Yeah Zeb Cook was responsible for most of Orsinium , and it reminded me so much of some of the original D&D modules. I have a friend of mine who worked on several WoW expansions, he related to me that many feel that Blizzard should have used a quest system more similar to ESO,(or more directly TES) that it would have more people more to do.

I found that interesting because you never hear any Blizzard employee past or present admit that something was done better.
