- Recasting this ability or its morphs early will now always trigger the ending resource restore. The value of this restore is based on the length of time the abilities were active, similar to Rally's heal.
- Each Light or Heavy Attack from this ability or its morphs will now restore less resources, but the final burst at the end will restore more resources. The total resources restored by this ability will remain roughly the same.

Yes. Except for the light/heavy attacking part.

Minor magicka steal is a far superior buff than siphoning strikes with these changes and in PvP grim focus just got a nerf. So, the weakest PvP class open world, magicka nightblade just got weaker? Sorcs barely got touched, DKs had both nerfs and buffs and templars seemed to have got shafted just as hard as nightblades have. To be honest I don't know what will be rarer, stamplars or magicka nightblades in PvP.

Need good Tamreialians to test out the Siphoning Strikes and see how is it working both pvp and pve.
Grim Focus:
Looks like Grim focus was not changed from the latest pts. (EDIT 1 ) You have to do 5 light attack to proc your spectral bow, but you do not have to refresh the buff to fire bow again.
Overall, in my personal opinion nightblades has become even more complex class to play. I expect to see even less nightblades in PVP and more nightblades in PVE.

Agree with this assessment. Currently most of our good builds revolve around Assassins will which just got harder to proc.
but im most interested in the Siphoning Strikes change. anyone think its worth slotting?

well if you only have to do one light attack more, but do not need to re-cast the skill to activate the bow, that is pretty good in my opinion, you do not have to care about the timing to re-cast the skill, you just focus on other part of your rotation and grim focus casts itself alone, awesome imho
gonna go try it now

Yeah, we got hit hard, again. As a melee magicka nightblade main I've been pretty frustrated by the past few changes to the class as a whole; the build I play seems to be completely borked. Everything I rely on to do decent damage is basically gone.
They changed the stygian 5pc spell damage/max magicka to just 20% spell damage, so I will have to use clever alchemist to reach the 4k spell damage for my burst... but I will only have the buff for one combo, and if anything goes wrong I will have to wait for the potion cool down to try again. Given that things often go wrong, and I'm usually out of stamina within seconds of a fight starting, I will have to be very careful about when I use my potions - do I use them for stamina/dodge rolling or bursting the enemy? The nerf to major evasion makes shuffle and double take unappealing alternatives to dodge roll, so maybe use elusive mist to dodge attacks? My only alternative is to use leeching strikes, but there's no significant resource return until the buff ends after 20 seconds. I guess I could exclusively use heavy attacks with my swords to regain stamina.
But, now I wonder if the reduced damage increase from champion points means my burst won't work anymore.
All I can think to do is to switch my focus to stacking healing reduction, using poisons and spamming healing ward to stay alive while I slowly run out of resources while someone incrementally kills me with their proc set. Or maybe just dropping magicka nightblade altogether; I don't see how we can really do any significant damage in pvp. Even with my old set up, and hitting 4800 spell damage (5200 with weapon proc) my burst combo (cloak > ult > inner light> cloak > assassins will > concealed weapon) would only kill people 50% of the time. I don't know, there's gotta be some build out there worth using for a melee magblade.

you cant one shot anymore?
is good, imo, one shot from stealth =- bad gameplay

Don't just assume every nightblade is a ganker, I run a heavy stamblade setup with zero damage sets. Would you care to explain how these changes made to siphoning strikes and grim focus effect 1 shot gank builds?

The dude is completely fixated on gankers. I've never seen him comment about anything else. Probably saw "NB" in the title and assumed we're talking about ganking people...Minor magicka steal is a far superior buff than siphoning strikes with these changes and in PvP grim focus just got a nerf.
