ABOUT THE WARDEN (BUILD-SUGGESTIONS)

DraugBeren
1) DPS MAGICKA ALTMER WARDEN WITH DESTRUCTION STAFF
2) DPS STAMINA REDGUARD WARDEN WITH TWO-HANDED SWORD

1 or 2?

I know that is better as healer or tank, but i wanna try a DPS build...

#2 is much more effective right now. stam warden is amazingly strong in pvp and decent in pve. they said they will buff magicka soon but who knows when or by how much. its terrible at everything. warden is also a top tier healer, but nothing is close to a dk tank.

Yeah this question kinda has to get tabled until we see what the buffs will be for it. Right now, magden is under performing. They had mentioned on they wanted to buff the warden to be more on par with the other classes in terms of dps. That should happen with today's pre-release. Stamden isn't anything really exceptional in terms of build BUT when I played it on pts, it was more fun, imo. The 'druid' build was interesting but it just didn't bring as much to the table as you'd expect out of a fresh class. Best advice will be to just wait, try it out, see which you prefer, and play what you like.

I played the dark elf MagWard and it was great in large mob scenario. It was lvl 50 so the gear and equipment was on point. Used Lightning staff and second bar was buff only. The second was a Kaj StamWard and it got good once I had AOE down pat. Rotated Barrage, Caltrips, Winter's Revenge, Subterranean Assault, crystallized slab. DW on second bar, with deceptive predator, bull netch, crystallized slab. Have to say, for survivability crystallized slab is invaluable. DPS wise, comparable. I did run out of Stam too fast. Might try a redguard/wood elf for better stam regen especially during combat.

Other than that, I love playing. Just started a low level, stamward. The low level stuff is OK. But I look forward to getting it higher and seeing how the balance is evened out. Still a little wonky. I am not a huge PvPer, so it will take me sooooo long to get Caltrips. I know this was mentioned before, but ZOS really consider putting Caltrips higher on the list of abilities for those who don't excel at PvP.
