I'm annoyed by this. I really am. Maybe I'm just nitpicking at this point, but with how cash-grabby the whole thing feels, this feels like a big pop-up ad on some "freemium" mobile games, except I paid for it.

Umm.... this is ZOS advertising the upgrade to the game on said game that you're playing. It's not an advert for something outside of the game.
Or is this not allowed?

I just wish that some of these Social Justice Warriors would put some of that outrage into causes that matter, like the way some ads in the mainstream prey off our seniors or how some wall street think tanks create new ways to charge the public for basically breathing.
But no...an entertainment company marketing their game is more of an outrage.
