Join guilds. tradex3, leveling-pve x2, pvp. proportions are up to you.
Get bag space, harvest mats, do writs for a designated Orc crafter (because thats all Orcs are good for  ).
Start researching early, guilds are only too helpful there.
    Feed you horses.
    Do the Daily's
Make your own gear or have it made normally free if you have the materials (+1 guilds)
Get Lorebooks, Skyshards, Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter and Master Merchant Addons
Don't sell Columbine, Nirnroot to that guy in zone buying them for 50g

Explore, discover, learn, grow and enjoy :)

Don't be tempted to power level or level up too fast - it's easy to max out a character in just a few days now, but for your first play through it's counter productive to do this.

You'll miss out on a lot of skill points from quest rewards as well as lore books and other collectibles and end up with a weaker character. It's then a major pain to have to backtrack to find what you missed out on!

Take your time and enjoy the game - most of the fun content is in the levelling process and you’ll learn a lot more about the mechanics of your build, skills, passives and gear.

    - dont be afraid to ask beacuse this game is very huge and complex
    - find good guild who is willing to help you
    - avoid half-dead guilds there is many of them ( how to find out are you in half-dead guild) when you write in guild chat Hello guild! and after 5 minutes nobody reply to you ,exit from that guild immediately.Trust me i just saved yours noob life.
    - You are not playing World of Warcraft. PVP in this game is only imagination 90% of PVP game you will run like headless chicken.
    - You will need money, learn to steal.
    - Do research and test builds that suits you
    - enjoy in this beautiful game

I don't mean to discourage zone trade but I think its fair that new players are at least aware they are being ripped off.

Enjoy the journey. Do not worry so much about the destination always.

Khajiit are very trustworthy and make great drinking companions. It is a cultural tradition that you always must buy the drinks yes.

It is not possible for someone else to 'steal' your kill xp. If more than one traveller helps to kill something hostile then everyone gets the same credit as if the killing happened alone. So do not worry if others pitch in to help. They are not taking anything from you. Help is a good thing.

The same rule applies for barrels and crates and backpacks - everyone can loot them (but not for chests and heavy sacks and resource nodes).

Speaking of nodes there is an unwritten code of node etiquette which says 'do not steal a node another one is practically sat upon'. Do not let khajiit see you break this code or their will be much angry wagging of the tail yes!

Pick everything (as long as someone is not standing on it), collect everything - all has some value.

Start your crafting research immediately even if you do not think you plan to level up the crafts.

The same for your mount skills - level them as often as you can afford to do so.

The town guards are immortal. When you begin your career as a professional picker of the pockets do be most careful! A large bounty takes time to go down.

Khajiit are lovely. Elves smell bad. Be a khajiit.

    Advice for new players
    • Take your time and do quests on your first character.
    • Be sure to master all crafts asap, if you plan to make your own potions, poisons, food, weapons and armors
    • Join a friendly PvE guild, bonus if it has a trader.
    • If you like doing group dungeons, see tutorials for each you want to do on youtube. Knowing mechanics helps a lot.
    • Use minion to install addons from esoui, addons are a game changer, if you play on PC. Among many of usefull ones, skyshards, lorebooks, lazy writ crafter, poison maker and destinations are simply great to have. Also, later on, some ui addon such as AUI or LUI would be great.
    • Try to be open minded and not be too hard on yourself when you make mistakes. It would help you save a lot of nerves, and generally, less salty than I am. If someone kills you in a duel/battlegrounds/Cyrodiil, it means you need to learn and adapt. QQing, angry whispers and similar bs will make your experience just worse, trust me.

Learn to block. Learn to bash. Learn to stay out of the red.

Carry an AoE. If you're range, put some kind of root or stun on your bar.

You get a second weapon at 15.

There are skills that have nothing to do with your class taught in the tutorials that the vast majority of players forget about, but are essential to surviving high level play later on. Though there are no levels, the zones advance in difficulty and by following the faction quests through those zones will help you adjust to the greater difficulty you'll see as you level up.

Despite what the forums will tell you, the mechanics of the game are best learned slowly by questing in the overland. Many of the enemies share ability sets that are available to players and come with the bosses seen later in the game. Learn to bash a normal clannfear out of its charge and you can do it at Heretic's Summons or in a dungeon. You won't learn them via forced leveling or grinding, and the more power you get as you advance in level or following some forum meta cheese build isn't equal to skills gained learning the mechanics. The players who are the most godly in the game are the ones who've learned the value of the block and the roll dodge, and for whom they've become second nature. Most of all the enemies have call outs for their attacks, learn to spot them. Those same animations can be seen on live players in PvP.

Take your time. There's no rush. Experiment with different powers. Look outside your class skills to the other lines like your weapon skills, Mages Guild, Fighters Guild, and Undaunted. Don't forget to put points in your armor passives, and your racials.

Still it's like 100g, for more enjoyable game play. They will find it useful when they start queing for random dugeons and we start complaining they aren't doing any damage. Even the green food is worth it. 100g is easy to make and that gets you purple food.

    • Learn traits as you get them. You'll eventually have enough points to do major crafting AND PvE/PvP at the same time (TraitBuddy for PC is your friend).
    • When foruming; be sure to look for supporting evidence as people won't be supplying it here (Macro-baiters if you PvP, holding pinions at Dolmens for PvE).
    • Respect your fellow player and they'll generally respect you.
    • Experiment with your classes; Don't worry about the meta until you've explored everything that your class has to offer.
    • Ask questions. While /zone might be a little toxic and/or trolly, generally there will be someone that will point you in the right direction.

Remember that the other players you meet in your adventures are "real people" too. They have good days, bad days, and make mistakes. Not everyone knows everything about the game. No matter "good" you get in this game, no matter how long you play...just remember that not everyone is at your level. Be kind.

Summary: be nice and fair with people. Don't judge. Don't blame. Remember they are *people* too.

    - Don't buy Werewolf & Vampire bites from other players. They can do it for free (it costs nothing for them). Most of WTS Werewolf / WTS Vampire bites are just scammers and they will take your money away.

I disagree - giving a tip or selling a bite to someone who gives you a bite is a good thing. After all, they needed to invest skill points to bite another player and they only bite one other player, once per week.

While I do often give my bites away for free, I sometimes will offer the bite for gold. If you offer a tip up front, you're more than likely to get a bite very quickly...and it doesn't need to be too much gold either - a thousand or two thousand would be sufficient. Gold is so easy to get in this game.

Don't worry about gear so much until 50+. Don't worry about collecting/saving gear unless it's cp160.

Level up your bank/bags when you can

Make sure you talk to the guilds as soon as you can (mage/fighter/undaunted/thief/dark brotherhood) even if you don't start doing the content right away.

Before you move on from an area check to make sure you have the skyshards/did the quests

You can do the main story quest line immediately now. It's often easier to do it when you're lower level and can take advantage of scaling. Consider doing so.

Don't be afraid of or annoyed by other players. With few exceptions the game is social, not competitive. Don't be a leech, but also don't hesitate to help or be helped.
