✭Does no one know the answer? I found the FAQs quite vague when it comes to steam purchases

Steam will send /make available to you your access key code upon launch of the game later today.... I think most retail stores have been approved to make the keys available at 9 a.m. CDT. If you play through Steam, I think you just have to activate the code, and wait for the game update, then you are good to go.

✭✭Steam upgrades are automatic.
