Vipers proc question

The 5 piece poison proc,

"(5 items) Your Melee Attacks deal 6720 Poison damage. This effect can occur once every 4 seconds"

Does this proc off of "abilities" or light/heavy attacks? or both?

Should be both.

You can even have a bow and use skills like surprise attack to proc it.
