'Effective' DPS possible without weaving... ?

To make weaving easier do the light attack, skill, then block in the rhythm you would say the word "bicycle" (Biiiicycle lol).

Or if you are musically included it is a dotted triplet. Ex%207.png

    Just the first measure obvs.

Maelstrom staff maybe necessary, but I pull 50,000ish with a precise maelstrom fire and an infal lightning.

    Good luck :)

Block cancelling is like the stupidest thing in the game dude, it literally has no purpose at all. :P

It has a use, if you actually need to block. :P Otherwise you're just killing your stamina regeneration for 4 seconds. (Unless something has changed in Morrowind I missed?)

Pretty sure it has always been 2 sec :p

I barely play magicka. Light attacks are 12% of my damage and I'm a stamina build. That's called "consistency" and "hours of practice" :sunglasses:

Agreed. About 12%. Didn't add bow light attacks.

Light attacking is really easy to do, it's actually harder not to do it after a little bit of practice.

    Indeed.

Yeah the skills "end quicker" but they don't hit any sooner or anything. Literally nothing changes damage wise. (Hence why I never understood the "uproar" about animation canceling breaking the game etc. etc. For the most part block canceling is literally useless.) And in a few weeks come back to that clip and you'll realize how painful it is to watch someone block canceling ;)

And yes the 2nd clip is perfect :)

it actually has been the source of many 'misfires' i see now that I started doing it correctly. like drop liquid lightning cancel to early, look like an idiot on twitch lol.

although cancelling things like frags and reflective scales to hide that you are using them can be cool. I also like to block cancel ultimates as I really believe it makes them fire faster (at least destro ults, novas, and going into overload kinda stuff).

    and ty for watching!

Thank you everyone for the insightful posts, and I guess for some of the not so insightful ones. :P

I got an update! after having a more in-depth talk about how to do things with a guild mate who had the time to explain, I found some improvement actually!

My greatest issue was that I really did it the other way around and tried to cancel my skill animations with a light attack instead of canceling the light attack. I also got a few tricks explained about bar-swaps and when to. this all comes down to muscle memory now for me and getting comfortable with it.

So far, my BEST parse ever on this character here on a robust dummy. I feel like I did things right there for a change. Things like 14x Assassins Will in 182 seconds were utterly new to me before that. It feels overall a lot smoother somehow. This is nice and I am definitely digging this.

    Gonna keep practicing now! :D

So the most obvious assumption ended up being the culprit:)

Happy to hear. You'll get there now.
