When was the last time you saw bloodfiends in end zone of your alliance?

I've been looking for bloodfiends for about 2 weeks IRL now, within that time I have seen werewolves about 6 times. I have been checking at least 2 - 3 of the ingame nights every day for 2 weeks and I have not seen any bloodfiends at all. Are the bloodfiend spawns broken or something? they seem to be 10 times rarer than werewolf spawns for no discernible reason. I know you can get bites from players but I want to get it from the npcs and I have been searching for this long now it seems like a waste of time if I give up now. I contacted ZOS support about it but they didn't say anything about the bloodfiend spawns being broken.

I gave up on the search. Waited for a week without sighting, I think the moon cycled 2-4 times during the week but I'm only guessing because the addon doesn't seem to be accurate. But no bloodfiends in a confirmed area, though tons of werewolves, just as your said.

On Xbox I have seen them almost every day since there are so many spawn points you just need to take your time and look at every one and it takes a few runs and time to make sure you give them time to spawn

Unless they have changed it, spawns always used to happen Thursday nights, and in a month it tended to be 3 weeks of werewolves and 1 week of bloodfiends. I've managed to get numerous characters infected as both ww and vampire this way (and as a responsible ESO user I run up, get bitten, and sprint away until the mobs reset, without killing them - so they are there for the next person who wants them).

Yeah, Bloodfiends are fairly rare. I've been playing for two years and have been infected by Bloodfiends on three toons. It always happened at night and usually during crappy weather with rain and lightning. Pretty neat! You can be infected in any of the 3 faction end zones as others have posted. When I see Bloodfiends or Werewolves that are capable of infection I spread the word and ask others to not kill them. They do respawn but I think after and hour or so they disappear. Sometimes I get others to group with me that want to get infected and they port to my location. Pretty funny having a bunch of people port in and line up to get infected.

I think the spawns may be different for console users, they seem to be a lot more frequent than PC spawns (based on secondhand reports) I have screenshots of some locations I have found the werewolves in, I check all these spots and more and I still don't find any:

I know, but thank you (my AD character got infected by bloodfiends in the rift around a year ago)

thank you for that info.. i haven't seen that anywhere when I've searched google but it seems likely given the relative abundance of werewolves compared to the lack of bloodfiends, thank you for not killing them too

thank you for being a kind player and helping others get bitten. they usually despawn around sunrise ( always in my experience ) sometimes I just wait there until they despawn

2014. If I logged on my first vampire, I could tell you exactly when.

Vampires spawn after midnight (in game) in all three zones at set locations. You can use the Destinations addon to find where they'll spawn. You can use the location of the moons and your compass to tell the time (the moon's orbit isn't tied to the phase, for whatever reason).

After that, just expect to log in regularly, and poke around. They spawn an average of once a (real world) week. As I recall, vampires usually spawn midweek, but it's been over a year since I went hunting for any.

If you've found werewolves, you've found the right spawn locations. Just expect the vampires to show up in those same spots two or three days later.

So here's a good question... Since the release of One Tamriel, why should Bloodfiends and Werewolves spawn exclusively in those three zones???

Because these are the zones they have always spawned in. Bloodfiends do spawn in Eastmarch, but they are not the type that transmit the disease, although they look exactly the same as the type that does. It would just cause confusion if they were to add the disease transmitting ones to other zones as some of those zones already have NPC's that look the same with the same name, on top of making it a much larger search area if you are looking for them.

that's the thing though, I have been. after they spawned I usually go do other stuff and come back a little bit before the next in game night and I check those spots, on top of all the other known spots + riding around the map in out of the way places (which is how i found most of the werewolves) and I still find nothing. I've been doing that for 2 weeks

The unfortunate irony is, if you've been checking every day for two weeks, the odds are, you've been missing them by a couple hours.

your sig says you are on xbox one, I am on PC NA, I believe the bloodfiend / werewolf spawns on xbox and ps4 are much more common than on PC for some reason, i can guess as to why but i dont know for sure
Also, the bloodfiends that you have seen everywhere, if they are the ones in eastmarch or other zones, they do not count. only the bloodfiends and werewolves that spawn in reapers march, bangkorai and the rift can actually give you lycanthropy and vampirism, the ones that spawn in other places are just normal npcs that do not give you either blessing/curse

WW's spawn once a week, vamps spawn once a month. Basically in a 30 day time frame, WW will spawn 3 times and vamps once. Once they do spawn, they will spawn for 3 game days in a row (one real 24 hour day). The moon has no affect, and they will spawn in multiply locations in each zone, just not all possible locations at the same time.

Why on earth would you pay for it? I've always given vampire and ww bites for free, and so does everyone else I know in game (NA/PC). Have you made the mistake of thinking you don't want to join any guilds or something like that?
